Good information in the update outline. It is refreshing to know there are things happening backstage. Thank you for posting this Bruce! |

Hmmm. I hope Hero is not trying to delay or dilute the acquisition. And I hope they will not be allowed to do so. It's not done until you have papers signed as the saying goes. The good news is that Buell is not owned by non-Americans and has not been ripped apart and sold on EBAY. The stuff and the man are safe and sound and in good company. I think Bruce can handle the re-do and delay. That stuff takes time. We can wait. I'll handle the enthusiasm where I am. My S2 is still awesome. ASBN is still warm. Who rides 90 miles with his wife on the back of his ULY to eat and chat with others of like mind? A Bueller. That's the thing Bruce got along with Buell that was not ever owned by Hero; the Bueller. |

Some of us opened our wallet and jumped in with a bike purchase. Some of you opened up a much larger wallet and dove in with a dealership. Many of you are fans with zero investment in EBR and are quick to jump on your keyboard. Bruce has an investment of $ much higher that all of us combined. I applaud that a restart is planned and not a sell off. That takes guts. We are all anxiously awaiting the next step down the list and the one after that.... |

I hope Hero is not trying to delay or dilute the acquisition. And I hope they will not be allowed to do so. It's not done until you have papers signed as the saying goes. (Note- there's a lot of paraphrasing in the following statements, so don't excoriate me for something if I don't get the language EXACTLY right). If you recall from the events just before the auction of EBR's assets, Hero went to the Receiver just before the sale and basically said "you can't sell that stuff, it belongs to us" (referring to designs and prototypes EBR had developed for Hero). EBR countered with "Hero never paid for this stuff we designed and built for them." The Receiver and his legal staff went over the claims and counter-claims and then negotiated with both parties. The end result was that Hero agreed to pay $2 point something million for the stuff they said that was theirs and this stuff was removed from the lots for sale in the auction. The Receiver further said this was the best deal for both parties as there wasn't clear documentation to conclusively prove who owed who what. Clearing the Hero business up before the auction of the remainder of EBR avoided a potentially nasty legal battle for the new owner of EBR sometime in the future. While this was a good thing in the long run for Bruce and company, it did complicate things in the short run as he notes above. Hopefully this is the last we will hear from Villain Motorcycle Company. |

Better than any paid advertising for the new EBR is that the owner took the time to post here. I hope someday a bike from this newly born company shall arrive in dealerships across Europe, preferably one I would like to buy. |

We were not a party to the agreement between the Receiver and HERO, nor did we know what was agreed until the week of the auction. And HERO asked for an unlimited period to claim back after the closing after the auction. I requested the Court limit it to 60 days, and the Court agreed. Try explaining that to your bank 5 days before closing... "Yeah so, that house I bought with your mortgage, yeah, well...the roof and the doors belong to the previous owner, and he might have a claim to the kitchen cabinets and some of the major appliances, the furnace and a couple of other things, but we won't know until 60 days after we close. No problem, right?" Over, under, around, or through, my friends... (Message edited by bruce_belfer on October 09, 2015) |

60 days from when EBR was purchased (assuming they meant 60 working days) would put the 60th day on 27 October 2015. Thats if Bruce's request to the court was done the same day as the sale. My guess is that the 60 days are almost up. If I weren't on deployment I would be out riding the wheels off m RX!!!. Iv learned to be patient as a Buell owner, I waited for what seem to be an eternity for the RX to be released along with access to its parts to complete my project. I waited a long time, a few more weeks or months will not shake my loyalty to Buell or EBR. Nufff said. |

I once thought about buying a Go-Pro camera for my outdoor adventures but I cannot support a ruthless "Indian" company that would put the Native American Apaches and the Commanches to shame for their absolute disregard for good people. F*** those Bast****. Onward and upwards with honesty & integrity Erik & Bruce. |

What does Go-Pro have to do with an Indian company? |

I think it was an attempt at comedy. Go-Pro makes a model called Hero. (Message edited by eviled98 on October 10, 2015) |

"Also, the hell does an Indian company have to do with Native Americans? I swear, some of you are off the deep end." Hybrid: not off the deep end at all. I was merely trying to show the absolute ruthlessness of HERO(an East Indian) company and what they have done to EBR,(well documented), as compared to our most feared, hated and ruthless Native Americans(Indians), the Apaches and the Commanches. I guess you did not see my feeble attempt at that, sorry. Bob |

and you have some personal reason to fear and hate the Apaches and Comanches? I think you've watched too many cowboy movies! And this coming from a huge fan of westerns! |

Wow you guys have derailed this thread pretty well. Congrats. The new owner of the new EBR came in here and gave us some exciting new information and you guys are arguing semantics and about Indians. Great. Take the shit elsewhere. Thanks for the update Bruce. We are all hanging on the edge of our seats here! |

Thanks Bruce. Remember, you have a lot of Buell/ EBR fans out there. American Sport Bike Night, Northern Cal and Arizona have a lot of faithful owners, and we have been meeting consistently every month, getting close to 20 years. We have flown the flag at many events, Bonneville, Quail Motorcycle gathering and more. Good luck! There is a big fan base around the world, and they are die hard, and willing to help. Thanks, REX |

Pulling for the whole EBR team. Watched "The Ragged Edge" again and I HOPE...Bruce, Erik and the team have some video cameras going through all of this. I hold Erik and his team in a similar light to John Britten. (RE: Barber's Britten gathering last weekend) And Bruce is the catalyst to breathe life into the engineering team genius with Erik at point. What a story! Capture it please and especially the parts when someone curses H*** Thanks for the update Bruce. DAve |

Its been 60days since EBR was saved from extinction, I truly hope EBR comes back fighting fiercer than ever. Hopefully we get some news before the week is over, keeping fingers crossed . I stumbled into this on motorcycle.com, its good to see folks in the industry wishing to see EBR back in the game. http://www.motorcycle.com/top10/top-10-bikes-wed-l ike-to-see-at-eicma.html/11 |
