There will be no pin nor toilet paper. You won't have to wait long. |

This is a very interesting turn. As others have stated, some success at racing goes a long way to help sell street-legal bikes. In 3-5 years some of the things that are problems today could be finally fixed in a very successful and functional manner. Two years of racing success and 2 years to get the economy humming again and it could be a good time for expanding business ventures. Sounds like a pretty savvy deal for all involved. Kudos to Erik Buell and his team and to HD for seeing the win/win in such an agreement. I am going to go riding for a couple years and then see what develops!!! |

Much better to see him smiling. It really could not be more appropriate for him. He just better kick some serious ass, 'cause I still want that Barracuda damn it! |

I am a fabricator in the racing industry, and I can tell you first hand that starting a race team requires more money, time, and resources than most normal people can produce. I am heartbroken that Buell is out of business, and I wish Erik and his employees the upmost success. However, I must quote Roger Penske; "If you want to make a small fortune in racing, start with a big one." |

Big Bear Choppers Business Model? I had a thought the other day. While I've never built a chopper I have learned that BBC has a good reputation for shipping out chopper kits you build yourself. This is not unlike the small aircraft industry where industrious folks can build their own single engine aircraft. It got me to think this could be an avenue for EBR to ship XB Chassis Kits. I'd love to be able to configure my own XB with what I would want. |

Good idea Devil_dog. I could see myself on a home assembled XB with a 100" S&S motor and a Baker 6-speed transmission. YUM!! |

Maybe after this RMR will decide to dump the suzuki and come back to Buell. they will not win if they don't ride Buell. |

This isn't all that different from what Yosh is doing with their "Lease a SBK Motor" deal as posted in last months RRW. We know most guys can't come to a race with a tractor trailer behind them, but having a source for good reliable race parts/support is in demand. Let's hope it's a win/win for all. Keeping bikes on the grid and fans in the stands can't be a Bad thing. |

I wouldn't count RMR and Danny Eslick out of *any* race that includes anything with wheels on it. Great team, great rider, I'll be rooting for them. Team and rider showed nothing but class from the day the season started until the season ending dinner. (But secretly, down deep, I'll be rooting more for the Buell ). |

This is great news!! I was REALLY down on HD for dropping Buell. Since 1999, I've been a huge fan of Buell motorcycles and his engineering philosophy. Great to see Erik doing what he truly loves doing... building and supporting his line of racing motorcycles. Any chance the Uly will stick around for pace bike use? |

Hooray!!! They are going to stock XB parts! And from the verbiage on the Website, it seems as though it may be easier to get a race ECM. The "Race Only" disclaimer is worded like all of the other aftermarket suppliers. |
