I have entirely too much time on my hands right now... I found these pictures in a Harley-Davidson patent application from 07. If this is old news, and somehow I'm the last to know about this, just ignore me. It looks like we are all doomed to stumpy looking engines. Thank you wonderful motorcycle industry! Its crazy. You know exactly what we want. First the X-wedge now this? What did Brett Smith join the Harley design team? God please tell me thats a evo derby cover I see. Let the postings about why that motor should be, could be, or is probably too heavy to be in a Buell begin...All joking aside, its pretty wild to see Harley with a new powertrain already. It’s only been about ten years. The layout of the engine transmission is interesting. It looks like the cylinders are offset like the rest of the v-twin world. And its quite discussion board of me to say it's most likely more than 1200cc as its pictured in a dyna frame. I have gossiped and speculated enough for the year. Should I go so far as to name it NOVA 2?

I hope these pictures work, or i will post a link later . tyler-

I liked what i saw of the X-wedge. Leno, of course, had the first in private hands.

Yeah, it looks like a honda or something. And thats not really bad. I guess we all new it was about to happen. I hope they just don't ever get rid of the ugly, absurdly mechanical looking pushrod v-twin. If everyone wanted to ride a sewing machine, we would all ride V-rods or suzuki's.(and I do love suzuki's)...
