That's correct. To throw this 4th link discussion a little curve ball, I REMOVED this link on my S3 on the suspicion that it was causing additional vibration which could be felt through the handlebars and the whole front end of the bike. Sure enough I removed this link and the bike stopped shaking as much, the grips are nice and smooth. I have not noticed any difference in the handling, even doing Battletrax like that. I talked to Shawn Higbee about it during this year Homecoming, he confirmed that the fourth link helped the bike to turn in faster but that it did cause additional vibration. Interestingly, Shawn was the only test rider that could tell the difference in turn in between having the 4th link attached or not. I think you notice the vibration more on the S3's compared to the X1's due to the extra stuff hanging off the steering head. So I traded rigidity for smoothness, worked for me. | ||

Snail used your 3 step down here at it worked perfectly.( Just need to go a bit faster next year). www.dlra.org.au As to Rocket translating we have long memories down here and remember what England did to our forefathers for pinching a loaf of bread. Better beer? I just finished two pints of Boddingtons Pub Ale purchased at my local store here in Kilgore, Texas. Beats that Fosters stuff all you Aussies swill down in mass quantities. Uuh .. what's that your holding there Blake? Isn't that Fosters sir?  I'm sure that ale of yours beats everything, but what's that Fosters doing in your hand when there's that well chilled DUTCH LAGER right in front of you? Even the Aussie himself knows better than that!   | ||

Maybe Team Elves should pop on down to Australia and bag some records. I guess the Isle of Mann thing fell apart, but my feeling is if I'm going to travel I want to participate, not spectate. Be hard to compete at the Isle of Mann, but relative easy to compete at LSR. Just an idea, thats what I'm good at, ideas. | ||

He thinks we all drink Budweiser. Paul, Next time we get together, we ought to have a beer taste test. I tell you what, that Boddingtons Pub Ale is a special treat. It's brewed in Manchester, England at the old Strangeways district brewery and packaged in the pint sized mini-kegs they call the "Draughtflow System" (little CO2 charged capsule like Guiness Extra Stout also uses to replicate draught beer in a can). Cool thing is that I can get it right here in Kilgore, Texas for a mere $1.50 per pint. At least for now. That Brooklyn Lager that Henrik had in stock was quite the treat too. So please, try to wean yourself from the Fosters would you?  | ||

They really don't drink Foster's much in Oz. There are too many good beers. The equivalent of Budwieser there is called VB(Victoria Bitter).  | ||

Buellkowski Nothing special, just the right size wrenches, it's a bit of an awkward spot but not hard. Before you do it go for a ride, note the amount of vibration felt thru the grips at 2, 3, 4, 5k in the first few gears and how the bike turns in, then remove it and repeat to see if you notice any difference in vibration or turn in. | ||

mmm...Castlemaines... Blake I will agree that Boddingtons is good, I found a place that had it on tap, but they used Nitrogen instead of CO2 that has made me shy away from the store bought stuff since. The difference in flavor was night and day. Its even better with the nitrogen  | ||

The equivalent of Budwieser there is called VB(Victoria Bitter). Otherwise known as Vomit Bomb (for it's effect) by the states that dont drink it. Our local brewer Coopers Brewery makes a very nice Pale Ale, and exports home brew kits all over the planet. | ||

Whodom you would have to check the brewery location on the bottle or tap, There is a Cooper's here in the US, just can't remember where its located at. |
