Is there away to stop being notified by email on specific threads that I no longer wish to follow (old, sold, lost interest, etc)? I'd still like to be notified on certain threads (i.e. my own posts where someone is responding to me, as part of an active discussion, or to an ad I have placed). Just not every thread I ever posted a reply to. Couldn't find anything in the instructional links. Thanks in advance for help on this. | ||

Heads up if you are waiting on a response about parts from Appleton H-D/Buell. I left a message on the board earlier in the week and hadn't received a response. I just called them and the words from their parts manager were "We're not doing that BadWeather thing anymore". They did take my order over the phone and offered a %10 percent discount when I asked. They didn't display any "attitude" and acted happy to have my business. I've no complaint about them dumping me or Buell. If you're waiting on a parts or quote request, you probably want to pick up the phone and communicate with them "old school". Andrew | ||

Crashed my XBCity on the way home last night. A car made a left hand turn in front of three lanes of on coming traffic, I was in the middle lane and had no where to go. In stead of going the guy stops so I hit the brakes until I see that there will be impact. Then I lock them up to bleed off as much speed as I can at which time I go airborn and hit the top of guys trunk my bike hits his rear fender. I fall onto the road in front of the now stopped traffic. I walked away and was checked by the EMTs no harm, I guess I'm just a tough old Jarhead. My bike is looking like $1000 in damage. | ||

Oh yeah, protective gear:Shoei RF1000, Gerbings extreme jacket with armor and G3 gloves, HD textile riding pants with armor, and military boots. I don't always were all the gear but I think I'm going to start! Parts: Zero gravity windshild, Instrument cluster and housing,front pully cover,right side foot peg and mount, brake pedal,rear master cylinder,drive belt, right hand guard, break lever. Crashing sucks! | ||

Hey Jerry, glad you came out ahead and more knowledgable! If you are interested I am gonna be selling my Lightning for 2000. All the parts will fit on yours(dont know if the swing arms are the same length) Then you could sell the rest. I am within a few hours drive and could meet half way. | ||

It has either an intake seal, or an ECM problem, AND I am in the process of getting a VFR, fulltime student AND i goto kidney dialysis 3 times a week. Comes down I just dont have time to be chasing down problems on a bike. I have lots of goody parts added onto it, and would like to take them off because I will eventually have another Buell, but again no time! | ||

Hi, I've got a lingering problem. My Uly pinks when hot and under acceleration, after riding at less than 30mph in heavy traffic then hitting open stretch. The dealer tells me it is the low octane fuel. I have tried mostly all the gas stations here and the problem still persists. I am concerned about long term internal engine damage and wonder if there is a solution to this. Any advice is well appreciated. | ||

Bitter Sweet end coming - http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/2273578481.html I am too busy in school to fight my wife on this one - she has me pinned to the wall to sell a bike to make room & I have no more money or time to defend her off =) Oh well - My 95 Buell Thunderbolt S2 with about 16k miles is starting at $4000 obo Even on my pennies for a budget I spent my spring break prepping her for a good home. I put a brand new rear tire, rear head gaskets (even though she still was running strong), & new front and rear brakes. Court, Ronbob, That's hilarious - I got a good laugh, thanks for cheering me up  ) I actually have the bike pending sale through Wednesday - He knows his Buells and is not interested in turning it into a chopper. As for the wife, I've been looking for conversion kits and they aren't cheep  | ||
