Mike, Breadsack. Find a loaf of bread, remove the bread, slide the empty breadsack over the filter, remove filter. Keeps at least 90%+ of the filter oil contained. Might do better if the bread is left in the sack, but ruins the taste of a tuna sandwich later. anotherMike. |

Mikexup, Does the Suspension on your s3t seem too stiff to you? I also have an 2001 s3 (not t) and it doesn't move as much as I think it should. The Harley Shop recently picked up an 2001 lighting and I could not believe how much more it traveled. Have you ever measured your shock's pre-load length? Mine's at 15 1/4" w/ me sitting on it. I just started checking into it this weekend. Any help would be appreciated. g u s |

Gus, I'm really surprised at how well my bike rides and handles. As far as I know my bike still has the factory suspension settings (the dealership owner put about 800 mi. on it before I got it.) We have a stretch of highway that will have my ribs aching on my Victory because of the jarring, but took the Buell over it this weekend and I couldn't believe the difference, no problem at all. Nope, very well pleased with the way it rides, and holds a line better than any bike I've had before. Good luck in getting it sorted out, when you finally do you'll love it. Mike} |

Thanx Mike, Looks like I'll be running up to Minn. this weekend so I'll probably take the "other" bike. Next week I plan on measuring the Shops lightning to see where it is set at. Have a good one! g u s |

Haven't heard from Peter in a while. Read the following and don't know why, but I thought of him...
quote:"AMSTERDAM (Reuters) — Two Dutch political parties called Wednesday for laws prohibiting sex with animals after a man suspected of having sex with a pony was set free. "Wearing nothing but a T-shirt, the man was arrested by police in Utrecht Monday after the pony's owner caught him by surprise in his stable. 'He was caught in the stable, busy with the pony, and was arrested for animal mistreatment,' Mary Hallebeek, a prosecution spokeswoman said. The prosecutor set him free because there was no evidence of a crime. Dutch law does not prohibit bestiality. 'There were no wounds or traces of violence. The man may have had sex with the animal, but there is no article in law which says this is liable to punishment,' Hallebeek said. "Both List Pim Fortuyn and the Socialist party called for an amendment to the penal code to make bestiality punishable. 'Sex with an animal is a far-reaching infringement of its physical integrity, and the animal can never consent to it. It is pure maltreatment and should therefore be punishable,' LPF member Joost Eerdmans said in parliament."

Mikexup, When I said "sump" I was referring to the remote oil reservoir. If you've just ridden the bike a bit (to get the oil warm) there shouldn't be enough to worry about in the engine's bowels.

We had that discussion and yokes over here ( Holland ) a few week ago , The man in question was a 62 year old Turk of Algerian ? ( don’t know fur sure ) And the common thought was; It takes a very big man to hurt a pony wile trying to satisfy him/her A lot off politicians where trying to score making statements A lot off stand up comedians where trying to score making yokes about it Well I’m going back to my sheep back to sleep Gr,b

Hi all English Buell Riders, My name is the X man and on the 13th of June 2004 I will try to get as much Buells together as possible. So far over 110 riders from The netherlands, belgium and germany are coming. It would be nice if some riders from the UK could be there too. I am sure you can find a place to sleep if necessary. More info about this can be found at www.buellform.nl look for the 100 Buells topic. Or mail me at: thexman2005@yahoo.com |

Ebear, with the weather the way it was over here (cold and a little drizzle), I decided not make the trip. Just too much traffic and too far. Sorry I missed the event. It sounded like a lot fun, and by your report, it was! |

Jim, Excellent link on the Chernobyl pictures. I've always wondered what has happened there. Makes you pause to think what could happen if the terrorists ever got ahold of that technology. |

Some good news for me.... I would like to let you all know: There has been a couple additions to the House of Loki... Donner(Thunder) and Blitzen(Lightning). I will post pics tomorrow for the proper intro. For tonight all is good and peaceful around here. Loki btw: these names have nothing to do with the jolly fat fellow and his cohorts.... and I aint talkin about Bubba either! |

Jim, Yeah, I went through the whole thing. That gal is pretty gutsy I think to be riding around in there with those high radioactive counts. She was pretty good looking too. I have always been a big supporter of nuclear energy and have even complained about how ridiculous some of our rules at the plants are. But when you see the consequences of mis-management...well, I guess they are worth it. Not to make a political comment but sometimes I agreee that a government needs to keep quiet about some things. That was definitiely the wrong time. I wonder how many people have, and will, die due to that mistake. I have hiked and canoed in places of great solitude where silence is expected but to do it where you would expect civilization would be pretty eerie. |

Mike Dad is down in the big ass building where the Dressers, Roadkings, and formerly the Softails were built. His name is Carl Cessna, he is a third shift maintenance machinist. He is working now on the Toyotas, up around the Crystal Palace. He has big arms and chest, and has a beard. Been there at York since around 87. If you see '42 WLA World War Two HD parked out in front of the lower guard shack, that would be his. I will be working at York this summer for summer break. I may be up in Keystone as well, I worked on the softail line when it was Line One. I have a 2001 M-2L, bought it there at Battlefield. I know most of the people there, I graduated Highschool with Auchey, and thrashed some twisties with Cheese as well. Hope to catch you there sometime, I will give you some contact info whenever it gets closer to me coming home. Later on Mike, Brian |

Just talked to Mary at BRAG. She said there are 21 people signed up for the "No Win'n" BRAG Tour, May 3-5, now. So there is no danger of cancellation. |
