Help! Check engine light started coming on and off. The diagnostic says it is not reading the O2 sensor. I have a Standard Motor Product SG27 heated O2 sensor and a race ECM. Both were installed 2,000 miles ago. All connections for the O2 sensor are soldered. Any ideals on what the problem may be before I buy another O2 sensor? Thanks |

My Buell is our family's only vehicle. Last weekend the wife totalled the truck...no collision insurance. Her and the kid were ok...the truck absorbed the majority of the hit. Oh well...time to find another... |

I know this may not amount to a hill of beans to some, but I'm excited. George Bush Sr. is here to give a speech. A military salute to all who are serving and to those that have served.

Buell Has Recalled the S3 and S3T THUNDERBOLT and the X1 LIGHTNING (SafetyAlerts) - The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced. Make : BUELL Model : S3 THUNDERBOLT Year : 1999 Make : BUELL Model : S3 THUNDERBOLT Year : 2000 Make : BUELL Model : S3T THUNDERBOLT Year : 2000 Make : BUELL Model : X1 LIGHTNING Year : 1999 Make : BUELL Model : X1 LIGHTNING Year : 2000 NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 03V427000 Component: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CABLES Potential Number Of Units Affected : 2830 Summary: ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES EQUIPPED EXCLUSIVELY WITH A FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM, THE IDLE CONTROL CABLE CAN BECOME DISLODGED FROM THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM CABLE GUIDE DUE TO IMPROPER ADJUSTMENT OF THE THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM. Consequence: SHOULD THIS OCCUR, THE THROTTLE MAY NOT RETURN TO THE IDLE POSITION WHEN THE OPERATORS HAND IS REMOVED FROM THE TWIST GRIP, INCREASING THE RISK OF LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A THROTTLE CABLE CLAMP, WHICH SERVES TO ENSURE RETENTION OF THE THROTTLE CONTROL CABLES IN THE CABLE GUIDE. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT BUELL AT 1-414-343-8400. Important Note Regarding Auto Recalls Frequently SafetyAlerts will list auto recalls before your dealer will know about them. If you have a vehicle affected by one of these posted recalls be sure and write down the NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number. If your dealer doesn't know about the recall when you check, ask them how they are notified of recalls and when the next update is due. Did you know? During 2001 there were over 1575 products recalled in the United States for safety reasons! How many did you hear about? Good show on Discovery about the Road Dog a while back. Great history, including the journalist who wrecked it and how it's creator was gunned down....as always happens, the bike is just the ticket to the story. |

There was an article about it in Cycle World or Motorcyclist about two years ago. Can't find it in my archives. Quite a charactor. I recall that the writer interviewed a fellow who claimed to be the current owner but 'fessed up in the end that the original remains with the builders wife, I think, and that his was a copy. "But still a Roaddog!" Had a four-point jack set-up, hydraulic or pneumatic, because it couldn't be leaned over enough to make a kickstand practical. Never let details get in the way of a great idea! |

Hmmmmm...interesting eh? Sure makes be eager to get on the phone at 8:00 AM this morning. Either some "pressie" have committed an egregious error or there has been a most unusual change at Ducati

Sorry, I didn't follow up. It's been very busy here lately. The speech was very good. He is a very good speaker. It was mainly a thank you to the military past and present. Talked about how hard it is on everyone involved and although it's sometimes hard to see while it's going on the outcome is well worth the effort.
