>currently has a Sportster 1200 ... Then he soured rapidly Sheesh. and in Mich? >I've put as much as 4.7 gallons in the tank (and still the bike hadn't run dry) I've put 5.1 into my S3 after coasting up to the pump. My wife see's 70MPG on her Blast when she's not doing 80 on the slab. Loki, I just remembered about 20min ago while washing the hamcan on the RS. Did I mention I'd be interested if you could fab one for the offset? >The S2 is getting hard to get "S2 specific" parts Josh 91 RS1200 ("A chain? Buells dodn't come with a chain." ) |

Dyna, I've got as much as 203 miles, before the low fuel light went on, on my 2001 X1. Thats was with the race ecm and gutted airbox. I was riding back from Deal's gap last year, all highway miles going between 75 - 85 mph. Now that I added the forcewinder, it seems I can only go about 170 miles, regardless of the type of riding. Thats to the low fuel light. I've never ran it dry, but I was thinking of emptying the tank (I have it off to do the XB rocker box mod) driving it over in the cage and filling it, just for kicks. I'll do that tomorrow just to see what it really holds. |

I need to change the tires on my S1 Lightning. Until now i have had Avon tires, but i'm not completely satisfied. Does anyone have some good experiences with other tires? |

130Club members: You you prefer a 30? sec clip of the salt that includes you or separate clips of your ride (5-8sec). I think I have usable footage of Steve, Brad, Terry, CussinBob, FriendofCussinBob(aka NotMikeThisTime) plus the wheel guy, the 335MPH Purple car and a bar stool. So did anyone email the eBay guy and straighten him out? Damn I'd love another one. Pretty funny Mikej as I thought the same thing |

Josh, I'll take whatever you have on my run. I need to show it to Jan, she's having trouble understanding the whole thing. She thinks it's neat that I went (I think it's neat she let me go!) but I'm having trouble describing the barren vastness of the place even with all my pictures.. Very cool! Thanks Josh! Brad |

Brad, Until you've been in the middle of a dry lake with little color variation it's hard to understand. The two of you will just have to take a drive out west, hit Yellowstone, hit Bonneville, meander back through Wallace Idaho and back to home. Just a thought. |

OK, I'll do you first just so see how this new software works (Premier 6.5) Oh and XP sucks out of the box for multimedia. After a whole string of updates (driver, codec, DirectX) it's finally almost as good as Win2K. And Premier breaks XPs ability to play .asps. Such is life. |

Josh; just think that "that other brand" computer does all of this right out of the box - and with excellent free software to boot Henrik |

Valez, been running the Metz Sportecs on my old M2 and the current S1. I have yet to hear a bad comment on them from anyone who has run them. They have excellent traction wet and dry and get decent mileage. |

Sportec M1s are great on my S1. Z4s are great on my S3. Dunlop 204s suck on the RS ('course they are the original 12year old tires) |

grrrrr - devil and angel on my shoulders right now "pick it up pick it up bid now!!!" vs. "you have a bathroom to finish remodeling and need to find a new job" Sure looks tempting if it stays near that price, though. |

I bet the tank bubbling is gas coming through a weak seam in the tank. |

This is late, but my frame of reference is my '97 S3. It's supposed to have a 5.5 gallon tank, but I may never know for sure because I've never seen reserve let alone run it dry. I don't even think about refueling until I'm a 200 miles. Never get worse that 57mpg, tops is 63mpg. I'd just like to see an XB with similiar capability. Maybe I'm dreaming. |

Court mentioned: ...... I love my job ..... smack dab in the middle of New York City and I shot this out my office window 3 minutes ago ...... I love retirement, no one to answer to, no bull-shit to put up with, no deadlines or schedules to meet, no politics, no smoosers …… life is good! Took this picture on my porch a few weeks ago while kicking back and taking a break from sanding. -JW:> |
