>>>I am SERIOUSLY bummed about it but my family must come first. First the good news....the family of Buell has ALWAYS been built around the very thing that will keep you where you SHOULD be. The bad news, no bullshit philosophical excuse waives the patch fine. Send the check to Bantz. Dyna: You my fiend, fall under a little known "repeat offender" codicil. Bring the $20 for the FOUR PATCHES! Tripper: You are fined TWO PATCHES for posting the Ducati picture, and one is waived for your "no comparison" ass-saving appendage to your post. $5 to Team Elves. Is this power going to my head? By the way, Brad you will be missed. You have made many contributions to advance the Buell effort down the field. Chainsaw...Chainsaw....Chainsaw...What am I to do? YOU designed the frickin' patch. Is your comment to incite or simply to amass a supply? I know not, care not....your mouth has just cost you $10, TWO PATCHES, for a Patch YOU DESIGNED. Court (Equal Opportunity Destroyer) Ahem....Road Thing....we are due one'a them there Texican auto-fire mouth bursts....give it a shot...see how far you can propel the patchometer! CJM in the accounting department...you here? Go tally up the fines, keep a worksheet and I'll get Spidey into the collection business. |

Tripper Both are unique works of craftsmanship and on the eclectic side. Awesome twin power (torque) and not boring like the cookie cutter competition. I am more fond of the Buell also. edited by smitty on August 16, 2003 |

DAMN! I can't think of a single smart ass remark.. Hmmmm.. Did hear this one the other day... "Hey, Buy the new Apr'l'a DSV Mille R, it'll out run and out handle the RC51.. " Notice how no one says a thing about the $18,000 price tag? Ok, I guess that's not gonna do it.. Uh, can I get somewhere to send a fine (or two) too.. and I'll Smart--ass ya later? Later... |

I like the looks of the Fazer but I'd like the bike much better if it had a 1000cc, 152 RWHP motor from a GSX-R. |

nah...I don't buy it...well maybe I'm just biased against Gixxers (and their wide a$$ed engines). I'm more and more a fan of light and middleweight exceptional handling bikes (I test rode an NC35 yesterday...I've still got wood) edited by xgecko on August 17, 2003 |

Doh, I'll try again....... A Fazer like this? A BRUTALE LIKE THIS Hey Ray have you seen the pics of the new naked GSX1000 ? Suzuki have managed to make a mean looking bike and I expect it will do the biz in the performance department too. Looks like Suzuki, and Kawasaki with their Z1000, have understood the meaning of radical streetfighter styling and they have not done it half heartedly like Yamaha's Fazers. Remember the Yamaha MT01 that looked like it was meant to be ridden by a futuristic Samurai Warrior? Instead they (Yamaha) brought us the Bulldog but sadly it'd had it's balls chopped off! Tony I'll own an RVF400 come mid September. A friend of mine is uprooting to Australia and I get the NC35. Funny old world ain't it. I spend more than a year without the Big Buell running and now I've got myself two Japanese crotch rockets to keep my appetite wetted. The RGV250 really is an exciting thing to ride fast. I expect the RVF will be much the same but faster! Oh my god......... Rocket |

CJM: Mark YOURSELF down of ONE for a violation of the "girl swearing" regs! HOOTOWL: You're fined FOUR, but given credit for TWO (as a result of the work you did on the 202.989 posters) for a NET FINE OF TWO PATCHES. $10 to bantz or Paypal to TeamBuellElves@aol.com Rocket: I'm just gonna keep tallying up your fines. By the way, if you need it, I have a CD of photos of an MT01 I got to play with. NOTE: Pathces paypaled by noon today, leave today. It's packaging and shipping day here with 3-8' tables set up in the basement. Court |

The ex (Sweet Linda) won’t be traveling to the salt this year as she is currently recuperating from neurosurgery performed Friday. Strange situation, as her condition is said to be the result of head trauma, but there is no exterior sign of trauma, and no recollection of same. She’s doing well, and the prognosis is for a full and speedy recovery. Nor will her chauffer be attending. The S1w has died again and I’m out of funds, time, and enthusiasm. I’m tired of being a motorcycle enthusiast with nothing to ride. Best of luck to all. Capt. Pete

Rocket if you are refering to the abortion SV1000 well even with the engine it looks horrid and I wouldn't go near it. The Brutale is a work of art but I'll never have the cash for one so it's not on my list and again it's too big. As for you impending aquisition of an NC35 I'm envious. I love the fact that you can stuff it into any corner and stay on the gas embarassing guys on much more expensive bikes (I made a fool of a 996 for about an hour on a tight twisty (like there any that aren't) japanese road the only place he'd pass me was on the straights and within two turns I was well in front again |

I had a brain fart and got my brands mixed up when I said I'd like a 1000cc GSX-R motor in the Fazer. How about an R-1 mill. Really, I don't care about the brand exactly, I just like liter size bikes. Sprocket: No, I haven't seen the naked GSX-R but it sounds promising. Xgecko: No, that's altogether different than the very disapointing SV1000. Nice enough bike but very homely. |

Yamaha did put the R1 mill into a standard (Fazer/FZ!) but it was a double wishbone thing that really was quite boring.... as for the SV...well two guys at work have an 02 and an 03 SV650...the only good thing to be said about the 03 is that the engine has a bit more...the rest of it is just nasty to look at side by side Kwak is supposed to be releasing a naked 750 and Honda supposedly has an RC51 based naked on the way |

HINT: If you have not placed and paid for your 2003 TEAM ELVES t-shirt you are running a risk of watching train leave station. All of the order that was shipped to NYC was packaged and heads out tomorrow. (Note: I did not get one yet). The balance of the 2003 shirts has been shipped to Wisconsin for sale on Wed-Fri. Orders placed and paid prior to Tuesday night will be pulled out of the inventory in WI. The balance, about 30% the number of the expected crowd, will be placed on sall in WI. Just a heads up.... The S1w has died again and I’m out of funds, time, and enthusiasm. I’m tired of being a motorcycle enthusiast with nothing to ride. Know the feeling Pete! Tony no not the abortion SV but the naked GSX1000. Artist impression pic's in MCN the other week but sadly nothing on their website. Incidentally, Kwak and Honda have put those bikes in production. I rode the Z1000 and it is a really nice bike, handles great and is bloody fast too! Court, please send CD, make good ash tray !!!! Rocket

Dyna that's just wrong...please tell me it's a Photochop Rocket I wasn't refering to the Z1000 or the 919. Kwak is supposed to drop the present 750 Superbike engine into a naked frame like the Z1000's it should be interesting since the 750 is a much better engine than the bored out 9r engine in the Z1000. As for Honda's Vtwin standard I'm sure it will have all the excitement of the 919...that is none...but it will run nicely BTW a Gixxer 1000 motor in a naked bike would be interesting but given the width of Gixxer motors probably a bit cumbersome edited by xgecko on August 17, 2003 |
