During the week really is the best time to go. I'm headed up soon. Probably going to be more of a spur of the moment kinda thing. I'm only 3 hours drive away. Have fun, and who knows maybe I'll see you there. |

New Bueller question. I was looking my S1W over this evening an noticed the swing arm bolt location in the hole of the frame on the belt drive side. It is not at all centered in the hole. It sits almost on the very bottom of the hole in the frame. Is this an issue, or nothing to worry about. Thanks everybody for your help! Danny |

This is a crappy shot but it's the coolest imo Spondon I've seen. I have some great pics of it too but there in my old PC so I'll one day get around to putting them on disk. And some links especially for Mr Witt...... Spondon OC Specials Rally Online Enjoy Rocket |

Glitch, I know Cycle world did a little piece on it, as did BattleTwin (IIRC). hand hammered aluminum oil and gas tank. Don't particularly care for the exhaust, but the headers look sweet. Reminds me of a slimmed down Egli Vincent. |

Yeah, I don't really care for under-seat-exhaust. It's kinda funny to me how most aftermarket exhausts are going higher and higher. I've got a friend with an R1, he just got the Leo Vinci high mount. Other than the "cool" factor, I don't think he likes it too much. |

So Jim, when ya gonna buy the new XB12? Or, if the wife says "no, we can't afford one," tell her the XB9 is "on sale" maybe she won't be able to pass up a good sale...

This from AP: "Potential candidates so far include a lady selling thong underwear and a motorcyclist who hopes to legalize pet ferrets. And the 99 Cents Only stores in Los Angeles are running a promotion promising to pay the filing fee and gather signatures for any 99-year-old who'd love to be gov." Are they talking about Woz? Hey, any PR is good PR if you have a good "Spin Doctor". But the Thong sales lady may give him a run (depending what she looks like in a thong) Time2Work Neil S.

Yes, Woz is the Ferret man! Saw him on the today show. I was disappointed in that he never mentioned motorcycles once. He wants Ferrets legalized as domestic pets in CA. |

Fireman Jim...You had mentioned that one of your friends needed some S-3 body work. I have been purchasing some body work on ebay, and I have a white S-3 fairing, White Tank, and a white tail section. Since I am needing some money for tires for the Bonneville run, I might be interested in selling them. Thanks, REX |

Hey ya'll! Just went out for a little AM ride and stopped by Tilley's HD in Statesville NC. If any of you are in this area stop by and see Brian 'Bubba' Gardner -- great guy and a Buell fanatic. Their Buell support is awesome! Big 'KUDOS' to Bubba for his help and 'talk-about' session. I will be buying a XB12 from him in the near future. If anybody wants to run the Parkway let me know -- I'm in. Later. |

Anybody here set up to fabricate aluminum 3/16" plate? I need 8 brackets made for Team Elves pit radios? I have a drawing I can post or fax. Precision, within reason, is not critical. The bracket is simply to mount a power supply to a Motorola radio, thus avoiding the tacky velcro style statement. Thanks, Court

Court, If James can't take care of it, I probably can. I've got nothing but time at work these days, winding down to layoff with no particular job responsibilities. We've got an old not so sharp 6' hydraulic shear that I think will do 3/16" alum (definitely will do 1/8" ) and a pneumatic bend brake that sits there idle all day. No alum welder, though. |

Damn Damn Damn!!!!! Bad day all around! I get a call from my local dealer regarding my M2. Funny (as in not good sounding) noises coming from my primary. Turns out my main shaft bearing is gone. New main shaft, bearng, primary chain, etc.. Primary chain was eating my primary cover. They want to replace it. Fine except it's got very hard to match blue powder coating (read $$$). I'll talk to the mechanic on Monday to see if it can be salvaged. Good news is the extended warranty is covering the whole thing. So the M2 laid up waiting for parts. Not all bad as I have the S2 to ride. Even bigger MAJOR bummer... I upgraded the OS on my PalmV. The F@$#cin upgrade wipped out ALL of my data. Whole phone book, notes. ALL records relating to my Buells. The upgrade procedure wipped out my backup files!!!! God am I pissed!! I hope my backups at work are good or I may just go nuke! I had everything in that little thing. Shit! I need to go have a beer or something. I'm too pissed to go for a ride.

Computers are wonderful when they work, but boy are the a pain in the $$$ when the malfunction. You should try to tell a Race Car driver that he is not 100% flat footed in the middle of the turn, when he thinks he is but the computer says he is lifting. Good luck with the backups. |
