Tripper, Will the first Showa recall shock (and stock front shock mount) work with the 99 Swingarm?

Hi Josh; Yes. I have interchanged the Exposed WP and Showa can in the past. I am about to change to the Short Showa if the dealer ever gets their stuff together. My WP has leaked after rebuild and we suspect a cracked shaft. Toasted.

and in the news from adn.com: Trying to Ride into the Pages of History Vladzimir Yarets spends time Tuesday on Fifth Avenue in front of a display about his motorcycle journey. He stopped in Anchorage on Monday on his quest to get listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only deaf-mute person to circle the globe on a motorcycle. Yarets, 62, left his home in Minsk, Belarus, riding his Czech-made JAWA 50. His course has so far taken him through Europe, parts of Africa and the Caribbean, the Lower 48 and Canada. On July 9 he arrived in Prudhoe Bay and took a dip in the Arctic Ocean. He plans to depart from Seward by ferry on Thursday and continue his journey through Mexico and South America, returning to Russia via Australia and Asia. Yarets has a log book of his journey around the globe thus far. He began from Minsk on May 27, 2000, and has been riding through the United States and Canada since June 2002. Dwike, what kinda bike is it for? If you are putting it on a Fuel Injected model you dont have to worry about it. |

The company I work for is doing some work at the Capitol Drive plant. I was there today and took a short break in the employee cafeteria, where they has an XB12R in red and a XB12S in black on display. Man that red 12R looks sweeeeet!! |

Specifically, they were put on the website on the 14th at approximately 1:40pm EST. Some of us were way too anxious to see the new models Mike L. <--- ticket-free after an unjust brush with the law. A bit off the topic; however, it is relevant. A big THANKS to all who persuaded to me to keep my S2T, (especially Neil & Drake). Sunday morning after breakfast with my father, out of the clear (clear) blue, my wife of only 3 years decided she wanted a divorce. By Monday, the papers will be done. I will need that ass-magnet to get back into the singles swing of things. All to do now is get it up and running, still plenty of good riding weather here in Vegas. |

Jester, good luck with the S2T. Personal experience says the S2 is just about perfect for those cerebral moments when the world is not quite right and you need a space where you can focus on what's ahead and leave the other stuff behind. |

I'm thinking if Woz makes it then the state will finally be divided up into several states: Calif-SW, Calif-Desert, Calif-North, and Calif-A.S.B.N. Wow, can't type in A S B without it becomming American Sport Bike. edited by mikej on July 24, 2003 |

Elves, Blake, Court, Annonymous insiders, et all: I am seriously considering a career move that will somehow combine my engineering & production background with my passion for motorcycles. Any advise on where to begin as far as possible opportunities within the industry or at Buell? I do not have a 4yr. degre yet, & would prefer to work & finish school at the same time. My other option is to join the USAF. At 28yrs. old, I'm a little late on the scene, but have managed to gather some valuable practicle experiences in my life thus far. Any help, suggestions, or general direction would be greatly appreciated. I feel somewhat lost lately, having been recently laid-off from a large EP&C contracting firm, and can't seem to find challenging work that satisfies. In other other words, what would you do? Thanks in advance & sorry so long. |
