Yes, RR1000 #50 (the last one made) is still available. 229 miles on it and all original. Holds 3 world records at Bonneville.

Blasterd: I believe (and know someone will correct me if I am wrong)that all the tube frame engines can use automotive sourced filters equivalent with the Purolator PH-8 and Ford FL-1A. I have been using the Mobil 1 version on my '98 S3T. Photo to follow. Don |

Hi Aaron Your RR is unbeatable, but the other side of the Ocean (and i'm a poor student too) I already found a RR1000 here in germany, but too expensive for me at that time. Here are some pictures from the bike during hte 92 Drag -racing season(it was a drag bike!) This is number 13. Now it is in a very sorry state I send you the pictures later edited by blake on July 15, 2003 |

The FL1A style filters are probably twice the size of the factory spec'd filters. Just about every filter I had in my garage would thread on fine... the filter for a 95 Saturn SC2 and 2002 Toyota Sienna are about the same size as the factory part, the filter for a 95 Ford Windstar is between the factory part and the FL1A. All fit fine. The filter that came on the toyota from the factory was a very nicely made filter, Denso I believe, but was white. Don't know how much toyota charges for them. I run a Bosch FL1A equiv now, all black, good looking and nice quality, and gives a nice extra oil capacity. Looks better on the bike as well (fills in hole nicely). Make sure you tie it down somehow. I use a worm clamp and a cable tie around the engine mount. I did not do that the first time. It's really dramatic when the filter spins off and starts spraying oil |

Anyone like to speculate how that pull through Turbo system is going to run with such long manifolds? Good on the guy, I'm curious that's all. Steve steve_s@ukbeg.com www.ukbeg.com |

Blasterd: Like Reep mentioned, the increase in filter size may also bring with it an increase in the tendency to unwind itself. Safety wiring or hose clamping works toward reducing that possibility. Here is a oil filter related link that may help you decide which brand/type filter will suit you and your M2 best http://minimopar.net/oilfilterstudy.html Don edited by doncasto on July 15, 2003 |

Hi Josh The Branch Heads and the complete engine work was done by the first owner of the bike: Mr.John Warr from Warrs HD in London. This was his personal bike and was used as a demonstrator for his shop. Ps:John raced a RR1000 in Europe also. |

Well it is official.....I am no longer on vacation. Well it ends on monday anyway. The past couple weeks of no work has been kinda tiring, sometimes even boring. I put some serious miles on the S1 running around Delaware and Maryland, the eastern shore at least. At this point I will be headed north into Pa. Once again I met a fellow BadWebber by complete chance. Go figure, what a group we have. As for the work this time....gonna be a rotorhead once again. So back to something that has props, even though they are mounted all wrong! and for a blatant advert: All those in the Annapolis area, go eat at "Famous Dave's". Gotta love that BBQ sauce. It felt like I was back home walking through the door. According to the bartender, he was told that there was one on every street corner in St. Paul. Loki

Blake, VR1203, I'm not throwing rocks at the guy, good on him, but I was wondering how it will ride. Not fantastic methinks, would be nice to be wrong though. That's a cool position for a blower. It's obviously not yet a runner, where's that black tube from the carb coming from? Steve steve_s@ukbeg.com www.ukbeg.com |

My guess is they cranked a lot of Blasts out as they were gearing up for the XB's, then focused on XB's. should even out a bit more over the coming quarters (though the XB12's will keep things interesting). |

Well I know this pales in the light of the XB12's but, Passion LIVES. . She fired right up nice and strong and smooth last night after her R&R&R of the engine. Tonight I install the body work and take her to the streets. (Note to self: REMEMBER SHE HAS BRAND NEW TIRES!) Thanks to: Allen, Pammy, Frank, The Badweb Collective and, to the dozen or so I've forgotten. Time2Work. Neil S. |

Bomber: Everythang's fine! Thanks for asking-- Claudette mostly went south of us. Houston got some rain and wind, but nothing compared to Palacios and surrounding areas. Lots of damage down there, but only two fatalities as far as I've heard (both hit by falling tree parts). We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming... r-t |
