Rainman, I don't know if the specs. are accurate, but it could be explained by wind resistance at the higher speeds on the highway. My Buell motor can loaf along quite nicely at low RPMs in the city. | ||

It looks like I'm back in the Buell world. I made a deal with skyguy for his bike and have cash in hand, just waiting for a time from him to go pick the bike. I'll warm it up in the canyons and then join a dozen friends racing at Willow Springs in Battle of the Twins Middleweight. It's going to be fun setting up an XB for my 130 lbs instead of borrowing one set for riders 1/2 again my weight. Blake, thank you for keeping this madhouse on two wheels, it's good to come back. | ||

Governor Doyle Announces $4.5 Million for Harley-Davidson to Expand in Wisconsin Tax Credits Tied to 200 New Jobs, Retention of 4,100 Jobs Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Harley-Davidson Motor Company will receive $4.5 million in enterprise zone jobs tax credits from the Department of Commerce to support an expansion of its Menomonee Falls facility, ongoing workforce training and development, and the continued growth of Harley-Davidson in Wisconsin. “A few weeks ago, many thought these additional jobs were heading out of Wisconsin, but the company, the union, and my administration never gave up,” Governor Doyle said. “Because of our work together Harley will expand right here in Wisconsin and retain its operations in this state. People all over the world know that the greatest motorcycles are made by Harley-Davidson right here in Wisconsin. I am confident that Harley will continue to grow in Wisconsin and will always be proud to call Wisconsin home.” The tax credits are tied to plans by Harley-Davidson to invest $300 million in the state over the next several years and will be used to facilitate the creation of up to 200 additional jobs and retention of the company’s approximate 4,100 existing Wisconsin jobs. About 100 of those new jobs are related to the planned Menomonee Falls plant expansion. “Harley-Davidson is excited about moving forward with the expansion of air-cooled engine and transmission operations in Wisconsin,” said Jim McCaslin, Harley-Davidson Motor Company president and chief operating officer. “Governor Doyle and the Department of Commerce were extremely supportive and engaged throughout our decision-making process on the expansion.” “The men and women who make Harley-Davidson motorcycles are a testament to the quality workforce we have in this state. Greetings. Hi. Just a quick stop to say Merry Christmas. Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Now for the question. As you may recall my better half "made" me sell my beloved beautiful S2 to help with a house down payment. (But dear, cardboard shacks are chic. DID NOT WORK) Maybe, big maybe, I'll be able to buy a new ride in the near future. Any suggestions? I leaning toward a BMW. But the ZX-14 is a close second. i have a 1999 s3t tbolt. i need to find out where to plug in my o2 sensor coming off of my tail pipe. i cant find the other end of the plug. does any one know where it exits the wiring harness? please respond, i just failed immisions , and im pretty sure its because my o2 ssensor isnt plugged in??? much thanks in advance, dominick | ||

Can a Firebolt top triple clamp be easily modified and placed on my XBScg? Any suggestions on aftermarket top triple clamp suppliers. I am also considering frame and axle sliders for my XBScg. Any suggestions? I am new to this board and would appreciate any advice or direction. | ||

David, Not easily. Besides the obvious ignition lock issues, the handlebar locations conflict with the flyscreen castings. There are Sato and LSL frame sliders, I'm a Sato and LSL dealer, and I will NOT sell them. I believe they cause more harm than good. Al, Thanks for taking the time to provide me with feedback. I have heard the same from someone else regarding the frame sliders causing more damage in a crash. I already have the frame pucks on the bike. I have been down on a few of my other bikes, and know how costly a minor accident can be. I just want to protect my bike. In regards to the firebolt top triple clamp issue. I would really like that on my XB, but wondered about the issues you have confirmed. I have seen the crossroads ones in pictures but they just don't appear to have the same finished look I would like to have. I will have to hold off until I see something that I like. I just got the rear axle Sato sliders in and have yet to put them on. It appears I am may be missing the hardware to screw on the loose end though. I have not decided if I really need front axle sliders. I welcome any further feedback from anyone and look forward to belonging to this club. Best Regards and happy holidays!
