Does anyone have the specs on the Gates belt and pulleys that were used on the '03 XB's? I know that the tooth pitch on the belt was 11mm. What was the belt width and number of teeth? What were the front and rear pulley sizes (# of teeth)? I know most people wanted to change to the '04 belt, but I have a project in mind that might be able to use the '03 parts. Thanks in advance for your help. Glenn |

DEALER REPORT - Las Vegas, NV I decided to replace a badly weaping fork seal this weekend, at Noon after going to the Bike Fest here in Vegas, go home about 4 pm had the front all torn down and ready by 6 but parts counter was closed at Las Vegas Harley. No big, called them at 10:30 am on Sunday and by god they had two fork seals for my 1998 S1, at the bargain basement price of $23.00 each. Walking through the store, four Buells. One used XB9 one new XB9 one used XB12 and a Uly. Last time I was there there were 20 or so NEW bikes. What Gives with that? Kinda wanted to see the new XB12 Long...It's possible they opened a Buell only shop here in Vegas, as I overheard a conversation with the parts guy about a Uly battery problem the guy had at Vegas Buell, a Buell only shop would be cool. Anyway, bikes done. Better than new. New brakes up front too. |

Watch out Henrik if Mike knows you will not be home, remember what happened to your shop window last time. You can take the boy out of Jersey but can you get Jersey out of the boy. |

"I'm not sure, but i might have a wedding to go to on either SAT or Sunday." He starts with an Alabi upfront,I can see it now. "No officer I was at a wedding at that time, cheek the internet its public knowledge." If sombody did any Goading you can bet it was a Texan, all Aussies are just innocent blokes in the wrong place at the wrong time. |

Did anybody happen to see the H-D ads during the Nascar races the last 2 weekends? The last shot featured a H-D in front of a house, with a red bra hanging off the handelbar (Actually it was the only shot in the ad with a motorcycle in it!). Very interesting marketing focus. Neil S. |

Are you riding there Henrik? I'm embarrassed to admit that none of my bikes are in street-rideable condition. So I'm looking to either bum a ride out (in a car - I'm not riding bitch ) or look into public transportation. Let me know if you're going. As for Italian - I mean Illicit activity in my absence ... lot's of locks and a dead battery should minimize the impact. Oh, and the reason neither the Aussie nor the Texan made it through that window ... they tried but didn't fit Henrik (Message edited by Henrik on September 21, 2005) |

Paul, you know, it always pays to have an airtight alibi! And yup, i was the lightweight in the group that afternoon. Having a skinny butt sure helps out during B&E. I'm proud to say that at 38 years old (soon) i'm 168lbs, with a 31" wasit. Well, i do have the wedding on Saturday. It's in Atlantic City, and it starts at 6:30 in the evening. I guess i can make it there, and get back home in a resonable amount of time for the wedding. Henrik, how you gettin there? This bohemian way your living with out a car is killin me! If you need a lift there, i can help you out, but due to my Wedding later SAt night, i'll be pressed for time getting you back home. I'd sacrifice riding there if your in a jam, no problemo. Just let me know. I'll call you tomorrow around noonish. |

Having a skinny butt sure helps out during B&E Not that you'd know anything about B&E ... ? This bohemian way your living with out a car is killin' me Killing me too my friend. This whole house renovation without a car has been interesting to say the least. I get some really odd looks when I bundle up lumber and carry it home by hand Thanks for the offer of a ride, but let me look into the train possibility first. Can't figure out what train station it is, so I'll call Liberty tomorrow and find out. It probably won't take me more than a couple of hours to get there by train. Shoot me a mail with your new cell #. Oh, and you can finally get your Fireman hat Court; tried to call you back on your cell. Kept getting a busy signal? Give me a call tomorrow. Henrik |

Henderson harley is actually really excited about Buells and sells a frigckaing TON of them. |

"Las Vegas HD is no longer..."buell friendly." Not that they were in the first place." LOL Burnmyheartdown Yeah, when I bought my S1 I went in to Las Vegas Harley to ask some questions of about it. The guy I talked to tried to sell me an X1. It was allright, they wanted about 1,000 more than what I paid for mine, they had repainted the tank, it had bad runs in it, and the guy knew jack about Buells, he thought the S1 was injected... Actually, was a blessing because his ignorance led me to find this website which made the purchase of my S1 for $4,000 an easy decision. |

IL / WI border - "Buster" needs a home... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We took in a stray earlier this week, but cannot keep him. Our allergies are taking a toll "Buster" is male, about a year or less, and is an absolute gentleman. He is very friendly, and ready to bond with someone - he'll actually stay in your lap and fall asleep if you can resist petting and keeping him awake... This guy deserves the protection of a house and family. He knows what a litterbox is and uses it. He needs to be nuetered but is otherwise very healthy in appearance. No ear mites. He's been bathed and has a new flea/tick collar just in case. We have a no-kill shelter nearby, but really do not want to drop him off there because they already have a bazillion cats over & it will take a long time for him to find a good home if ever... I will deliver him within a reasonable driving distance and provide a litter box and a new bag of food for your kindness.

I am absolutely baffled by the shortage of 2004 XB9's. I have been watching the Lightning and Firebolt auctions on e-bay, have scanned through the classifieds here more than once, watch cycletrader.com, etc. There are absolutely NONE. Is this because 04 was the best year for them and no-one is selling, or is it because the production numbers for the 9's are so much lower than the 12's? The shortage is amazing to me. There is no end of available XB12's, in both an 'S' and an 'R', but no xb9's in either configuration. If anyone has any insight into this interesting phenomenon, I would love to hear it. Josh D. From what I was told there were only somewhere in the area of 250 '04 XB9R models made. (I cannot verify this info, but I seem to remember that when we got our one '04 XB9 in) |
