'Busa is sold, here is an excerpt of the email from my boss who was selling it (names abbreviated): It was sold this last weekend. A guy came up from San Raphael and paid me $7250.00 in cash! True story, he cut his hand off (I don't remember which one but he showed me the gruesome looking thing) and he only has feeling in his pinkie. He won't let them operate to try and fix it further. He brought a couple of friends and the younger of the 2 rode it home for him. Now get this, "D" has been after me to sell it due to medical expenses and that fact that in over 3 years it only had 613 miles on it. I have been trying to sell it for about a month and plenty of calls but none real, or so I thought. I finally got her to let me keep it and this guy shows up with cash. ••••! Now it gets even better. While the guy is counting out the cash and giving it to "D" in my garage, we get a phone call from a guy sitting in Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa and he tells "D" that he is ready to buy the bike and only needs a copy of the registration faxed to him and Redwood Credit Union will cut him the check, right now on Saturday. he was going to pay full asking price of $7500.00 but there was no way I would back-off from my word to the guy with cash in (re-attached) hand. I couldn't make this •••• up if I tried! He was going to buy it completely unseen. Said he had talked to me a couple of times and was convinced it was the bike for him! He was disappointed and literally about a day short. If he had just called me and told me of his plan to get the check, I would have held it for at least until he showed up. What a dork! Thanks for trying to sell it for me. I appreciate your effort but this story was worth it just for the humor. "M" |
