What does "can't tell what gear you're in" mean? It has gear indicator and the gear indicator does not work? Do you really need it? Buell XB has no gear indicator and you just need to count it. (Message edited by TPEHAK on July 20, 2023) | ||

@Tpehak - Yeah, I suppose that wasn't a great description of the issue.  No, a 2000 X1 has no gear indicator like an 80's Honda Magna or some such. I kick it into gear and from there it no longer has a positive click when I try to change gears. So far I have a lurker and two badwebbers (one is local) interested in this bike. have noticed outside shifter adjustment can have a dramatic effect on shift timing. i have 2 inch lowered pegs. if i can get the LSL parts on and adjustment is good ill be very happy. inside the primary these is shift linkage that requires an adjustment when things are really bad. Heat is a factor. clutch life or make up. | ||
