Hey, what do you mean about " (1) set of LSL bars for Firebolt conversion " Are they the same as XBS stock bars? |

Shoggin - The LSL bars were off my first Firebolt.....the LSL top clamp and the 7/8" bars. One guy wanted/bought just the top clamp as he wanted/had black Renthal bars, Carmichael bend. What I have left is the silver LSL bars in whatever their bend is. Pics are in post #14 I think above. I wanted to go back to the original Firebolt clip-ons As for the Ermax undertail....this thing is really cool, super light-weight, and has flush mount, diamond shaped directionals. I *think* Al from American Sportbikes sold them originally, and you ordered them already painted in the matching OEM colors; red, blue and black only. Wiring is as many described it, pretty marginal.....just north of scotch blocks. Can't weigh a pound and makes it look sharp with color under the the tail. If I were to keep/use, I'd want it on my red bike....seems a shame to paint it. Again - part of the same original Battle Blue 2003 Firebolt purchase I originally made. I think there are differences in the S vs Firebolt tail, so probably a no-go. As for the bars, they're standard 7/8" so should work on an S (Message edited by skipbarberman on May 23, 2020) |

Well, $50 + shipping seems fair? However, that can sometimes happen with these if brake dust keeps them from floating correctly. I'd love to sell a rotor if you think its warped. But if you clean the brake dust off with Brake Kleen and a toothbrush, it may solve your issue. Just sayin'. Let me know. - Sean |

Oh yea very fair. It started shortly after I installed new pads It’s a pretty bad pulsation. I checked all mounting bolts for tight and all good. Cleaned both my wheels good after 4 wheel bearing change Sunday. Just got back from a long morning run with side of the highway stop when shifter to linkage screw fell out and left the shifter dangling. Found some wire by a ditch and made it to a parts store. I’ll try the brake clean and tooth brush method. Still would be happy to have a spare if mine isn’t warped. Just let me know the total you need and I’ll get it to you Thanks ! |

Is this a brakes post or a parts post? Brakes are NOT somethin to mess with if you are not 100% sure of your skills. Rotor warp is rare first havin very noticeable drag, then discoloration. You did somethin wrong obviously when installing new pads, more than likely not using the factory service manual as a reference. I would check axles alignment/square,if high mileage then even pulling axle and checkin spacer thickness, seal condition, etc.Reverse your process, clean everything, nothing in the system showing the least wear is not worth replacement with new its BRAKES.As along time mechanic,I have wall art parts to prove some of the horror stories folks were ridin with brakes in that condition. Always procrastinating on a repair in this category costs more money, always |

Hawgford....dude....settle down. I am happy to sell him something, but want to make sure he NEEDS it. I too have been a TECHNICIAN for a long time, far a few manufacturers, as well as race teams. Would YOU like to buy some parts? Nobody is looking to be 'unsafe', duly noted. Don't screw with the part that stops you. (Message edited by skipbarberman on June 13, 2020) |
