Currently have stock header and muffler on my 2000 M2. My header has a crack and looking to replace the whole system. Considering repairing my header, but ideally would love to find something that doesn't have any cracks/rash on it. I'm installing a 1250 kit and cams, would like an exhaust to complement.

Have been looking at new options as well. So far I've found:

Some used systems on ebay
New force 2 piece, $699. Supposed to be super loud though.
Dean Adams Designs - just muffler, no header available
APH Performance Engineering - replica race headers, mufflers available. Located in the UK though so not sure on shipping $$
Supertrapp - muffler only, $629

I have a full D&D with ceramic coated headers on my X1 that is too loud for me.

Good morning,

I'm parting a 2000 X1 with an aftermarket single piece exhaust. Pipe looks to be straight thru. Search Buell X1 on Chicago Craigslist, it's the Blue bike. $295 + shipping for the whole system.

Decided to keep my full D&D exhaust. It is loud but it looks too sexy on the bike to get rid of.

FWIW, you can't go wrong with an APH. The quality is incredible. I've bought and enjoyed 3 different APH systems with my bikes.
