Looking for 2-3 sqaure tube stands like the one shown in the photos. New or Used, Painted of Unpainted. Can you buy these online or strictly DIY ? Pleas email me with a picture of what you have and a price. Thanks, Rick rtlll@yahoo.com

Rick, Those appear to be the stands that were made at the factory in East Troy to hold the bikes as they went through assembly. Your best bet would be to make them or have them made. I owned one that was in engineering and I gave it away as a gift. They would be easy to make. I don't wan't to make them. You could get a hold of Loose1, Matthew Loose and ask him for a quote on 1 or 3 of them. The one I had had extra pads on it. The people that have any of them would probably have gotten them when Buell closed. |

If you own that one, Measure it. Order the tubing needed or source it at the hardware store. When you do the bolts, turn the threads off of them. Cut the tubes to length and grind off the edges. You wont need anything more than an $80 Harbor Freight welder to assemble the frames. The ones at the factory were not painted. If you find an original one just clear coat it. Rick, What width (between the uprights) do you want? I have three different sizes 13.5", 15", and 15.5". I don't really want to sell mine but I could check into the cost of the steel to build a few if you're interested (and not in an urgent need). |
