Desirable 1998 Buell S1W “White Lightning” with 20,000 miles (I will have to double check mileage). I believe I am the 3rd owner of this bike. The story goes that the bike was originally white on white but the tank started to yellow, so the first owner repainted it the color it is now. It looks like a professional job and after many years there only a couple of tiny bubbles on the tank. The rest of the bike is mostly stock and unmolested. I have owned another S1W for years so I know these bikes very well. When I got it last fall I performed the following maintenance: *New isolators front and rear (most recent updated parts) *New exhaust studs and screamin eagle exhaust gaskets *New “James” intake seals *New tapered head bearings *New tires (bridgestone s20) *New rocker box gaskets *New Mikuni HSR42 carb *New forcewinder air intake *ebc front rotor (not pictured) *Changed engine and primary oil *Fresh brake fluid Runs fantastic. Everything on the bike works except for the high beam indicator at times, also the high beam flash button is missing from the left handlebar control. This bike is equipped with a supertrapp muffler which I believe was a genuine buell accessory and highly sought after. It also has buell “traction” grips, pro series carbon fiber hugger (not shown). Latest recall shock. Note: the carbon fiber front fender in the picture is not included, it comes with a matching blue fender I have enjoyed saving this bike but as I said I already own another S1W and I would like to get an xb12s (consider trades for this model). I have a clean title in hand signed by the previous owner, buyer information left blank. I would be willing to transfer the title to my name at the new buyers expense. email: abomb718@yahoo.com (Message edited by andy350 on April 24, 2018) (Message edited by andy350 on April 24, 2018) |

It’s a great color. My 1995 Buell S2 is Amazon Green ..... from the factory. Great story there. Some of you remember the old stories about green vehicles. When Mike decided on the green there were lots of concerns and discussions. |

Someone had mentioned to me once that green was a bad color for a vehicle very superstitious. Mine is also the factory color, and would change it at all. |

I remember the green S3 that Buell had around '97-'98. I don't believe that this is that color, this is more of a teal blue. Looks nice but may throw the high voltage yellow skins and tank on her. Once again, thanks Andy for saving this old girl. I will definitely benefit from your skill and hard work. She owes her health to you and I'll make sure she has a good life. I can't believe how the Buell tubers are so underappreciated! ... ?
