It's "value" is likely as nostalgic art . . . . it was certainly an interesting chapter . . . albeit stillborn . . in the history of Buell. I'd suggest it's worth every penny of $11,000 but . . . . like Dan's brand new RR-1000 and my S2 with the hand built and blue printed $10,000 motor . . . it'd take "the" right person with interest. As a result both my S2 and Dan's RR-1000 sit as paperweights . . . bothers me not a bit as every time I look at the S2 a memory from one of the 44 states it's been in . . . leaps to mind. Just the photo of that motor is "art". | ||

It would have been a fun production engine I think. A better 'big twin' than the evo or twin cam. I should have bought that XBRR after the 09 shutdown for 12K. Maybe someone will 3D print a display cutaway for garage/man cave art. | ||

The big regret I have is when the local race team was selling cases, and I missed out (well...decided not to buy, hence my regret) a set of XB cases that were machined to take a trapdoor transmission. Should have grabbed those. | ||
