There is an ongoing question as to why the numbers shown on heads in the photos does not match those in the Buell Parts Catalog . . .any care to offer any enlightenment? |

For larger manufacturing operations - like H-D - part numbers are needed for parts in every step of their production; raw castings, powdercoated parts, final machined, etc. I'd speculate that the PN's cast into the head are the PN's for the raw casting. |

1313 is correct. Casting numbers are for the raw part. Sometimes a casting number could change to accommodate other needs but still service the original part number (resulting in one part number that may have multiple casting numbers). |

My attempt at editing ad to correct part numbers failed. I have confirmed that these are indeed S2 heads which are listed in the Parts Catatlog as 16450-94Y, 16698-90A |
