I've searched everywhere and can't find one. I think it's a resonator and screws to the back of the oem filter housing backing plate on a tuber. Anyone have one? Thx

Why would you need one of those? Your X1 is a normal, domestic X1, no? The parts book calls out part number 29427-99Y, with the description: EXTERNAL SNORKEL (not illustrated)(AUS, ENG, EUR) That's right. It's not factory equipment on a Domestic X1. I think it had something to do with passing noise regulations in those markets. If you really must have one, I'd recommend keeping your eyes open on eBay - parts for foreign market Buells show up occasionally - or let Google help you to locate one available in those markets. |

Now that makes sense. I must have a UK backing plate. I could not figure why I was the only one with threads for a mysterious component that was in none of the schematics. Thank you |
