Matching pearl white tube frame Buells... Let's get crazy and creative: Buy them both and I'll cut you a package deal. Combined they are listed at $8500. Both are in excellent condition.

That's about as good a chance as anyone is going to get to step into "Buell Collector" shoes with a single purchase. Two significant models, in pristine condition, as an excellent price. I've not interest in the sale other than the flood of fond memories looking at those pics evokes. |

Thanks Court! I really love these bikes. I'm planning on keeping my 1998 S3T. But as I'm getting older, I want something that is: a) comfortable for long rides; b) dependable with dealership support. My sights are on a Honda Africa Twin with some aluminum panniers. |

Funny you should say that Dennis...I have My S2, my S2T, and highly modified XR1200 for romping around, but I'm turning 63 this month and getting very serious about an Africa Twin - for the exact same reasons. |

JUST. GOD. DAMN. That S1WL makes my heart skip a beat. That was my first Buell back in maybe like 97-98? Ever see a hot chick from college you used to tap and find out she was still single and still wants to roll with you and you're single too, so you're like, "Yeah, let's try a quickie out just for fun, but maybe let's go a little longer this time?" I get that feeling with this machine. The only differences between yours and mine was the smoked signal lights. Same exhaust and same plug wires. Eerie. Funny story, I had the carbon V&H muffler and went down to Tijuana doing stoppies and wheelies with my friends on our Buells one long weekend when I was in the Marines. I noticed it getting progressively more "awesome sounding". As we were sitting and waiting for the long-ass line of traffic to get back across the border into Lemon Grove/San Diego/USA, I checked on why I saw some muffler packing fly off the bike and smelled so much exhaust and WOW I melted a massive hole in the muffler between the engine case and primary. WHEW! Took it up to Vance and Hines and they were really awesome, replaced it on the spot with the metal can and threw some cash back at me too. Cool company. The S1 White Lightning is a true So-Cal hooligan bike and will forever live in my memory as such; with the beautiful sparkling blue-white paint and hot-rod engine sound. It's an animal. You can hear the f3ck3ng bald eagles surround you and call your name every time you press the starter button. It's a scalpel and if you don't become a surgeon of the canyons, it will turn around and carve you up for not riding it properly. I love that machine and she is gnarly. One of the few bikes with a true soul. You can really ride her like a drunk prom date - pull her hair, throw some spice in her eye, she'll look back at you and say, "That's all you got?!" And all the time you're pouring sweat in your helmet, pushing your bars through the corners, getting those tires as hot and deep as you can, and that bike just wants a beating! I'll email you about perhaps rescuing this and giving her a home in Seattle -- I'm not sure if I have the cash right this second if you're asking for every last cent because we had to buy an 1190 and another 1125 for some YouTube videos, but I'll try. It breaks my heart to see this EXACT bike I owned as a young Marine up for sale. |

Anybody know much about shipping to Europe? That seems to be where most of the action is happening. The inquires are coming from long time BWB members. |

I know a Dutch guy living in Florida. He organized the shipping for a 76'Van and two buell engines for me last year. I did organize to have the two engines delivered at a warehouse and he managed it from there for me. The Van came from Arizona and the shipping was included the whole deal ,so had no work from that. It took some time ,but with this kind of things you have to be patient. At the end I'm happy with the result! You have contact with interested buyer and be clear about time and costs involved. They pay everything up front and you organize the handling and shipping. I can send you the contact info from the person in Florida if you want!? |
