For those of you who have been "jonesing" for a true collector, please break open your wallets. It will be interesting to see where this one finishes up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Buell-RR-1200-/332291 329491?hash=item4d5e1b4dd3:g:EHwAAOSwz71ZWumf&vxp= mtr |

One of the last RR1200s to "not sell" had bidding stop over $18k (didn't meet reserve), and that was a few years ago. This bike is worth $22k to $25k minimum. |

Wow I didn't know they were that pricey . I'd hate to see what an RR1000 would go for. This one is currently at $13k, five days left. 20+ is a possibility. |

I've been watching for ten years and I haven't seen an RR1000 publicly sold in that time frame. Oddly enough, the most valuable one is just 20 miles from my front door (Bike #1). |

There have been plenty of RR1000's sold . . . generally $25k to $35k. |

I'm good with this ending----$19,600.00 with spirited bidding until it was over. I'm ready for a RR1000 if ANYONE happens to see or know if one is available. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Buell-RR-1200/3322913 29491?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p20551 19.m1438.l2649 |

Probably a fair and equitable price for an RR1200. I kind of had a hankering for the RR1200 as the result of the easier to maintain motor. I'd call the current market in the RR1200 world in the $20,000 range and the RR1000 perhaps $25,000 to $40,000. I came within a nano-second (photos are laying around here somewhere) of being one of the elite club to trash an RR1200 in front of a watching crowd. Beautiful bike . . |

"I came within a nano-second (photos are laying around here somewhere) of being one of the elite club to trash an RR1200 in front of a watching crowd." I'm glad it didn't turn out that way, although the guys at Airtech Streamlining probably could have re-outfitted the bike. If you hear of anyone selling an RR1000 I want a shot at it! |

>>>Airtech Streamlining probably could have re-outfitted the bike. The Airtech stuff has traditionally been very poor quality. I recall what we went through with Tomahawk . . rejecting over 50% of the work. Someone, a couple years ago . . . sold a complete RR1000 body set on ebay. The only RR1000 I am aware of had something like 6 miles on it (so it's used) and I think it either sold or was selling for about $40,000. I haven't talked to him in a while but he's supposed to be coming to visit. I'll see if it ever moved. It sat in his office since 1988, |
