I got these at the Buell 25th Anniversary weekend in Troy. The VIP pass, which permitted access to a special stand to view the races, among other things. There is also the Official Twenty Fifth Anniversary decal. $25 for the pair, including shipping

The 25Th was a great trip. I had a pretty good time at the "Summerfest". Buell had the upstairs observation deck reserved at one of the venues.... some how the "25 Banner" followed me home...

That was a great time on that observation deck. Remember Erik busting my balls about the correlation between my beating on all my bikes and playing drums? LOL The open bar seemed to help............ |

Little 25th tidbit I just wandered on while moving stuff to the "New Barn". . . . . Started pulling helmets out of boxes today . . . . Most of these should have long ago been binned . . . I suspect some will become table lamps. Tough to part with the Scott Russell autographed Shoei wth the BADWEATHERBIKERS sunshield . . .yeah, the one he signed right before the 42 minute pit stop. Tough to toss away two of the rare "square" helmets . . one that's been in 37 states (on one ride) and the other brand spanking new. You likely won't see many of these either. Arai used to send me a couple helmets a year and this white one was kind of boring so I stuck with the snappy purple thing I had. I sent the white helmet to airbrush and graphics genius Will, at The Sigh Shop of Racine, and he transformed it. Not only is the 25ht Anniversary logo done by hand . . but, since the Arai deal, and good manners, required me to keep the ARAI stuff intact Will recreated all the Arai marking, in the 2 tone frosted blue, PERFECTLY. If you are looking for the best . . . http://signshopracine.com Good news . . . 127 more cases of books and we're done moving.

Nice books Court ! I just scored on Ebay the "25 years of Buell" book in pristine conditions and at a pretty good rate compared to what I've seen elsewhere ! It seems like a must have book, can't wait to receive it ! |

I was mistaken . . it's in German . . . but well worth the small price of admission. Germans do things to motorcycles that are nothing short of amazing. I'll see if I can get Brankin to come in here and explain . . . but the photos of the German Buells are great and the language . . with all the great photos . .won't impede your enjoyment. You will enjoy all the photos of the excite German Buells . . . Some more fun motorcycle books. A couple of these are noteworthy . . . the TWO (yep, you surely know of the battle between Felicity, John's cousin, and Tim Hanna the resulted in two, with quite contrasting view points) Britten books. A good friend was Senior Editor of Motociclisimo in Italy and sent along the Aprilia and Ducati books . . yep, there's a duplicate there. Another friend was President of Ducati, North America and sent the autographed one. Some more fun books . . . they are not all in . . . about 35 more cases to unload . . . but every Buell manual from 1987 to 2010 . . including the bicycle sales literature. I also have all the factory set up books for most Buell and the fact rate manuals. We struggled in the late 90's to get the manuals right which result in things like the 1995 S2 Thunderbolt (the first BLACK manual) and the 97/98 S1 manuals. Those are the original (there's a case of them here somewhere) Buell CD's . . a great idea stomped out by Hillman And . . . . when you see part of the "other 2,000" books . . you'll see why I tend to spend my time on the moto-shevles . . . (or in the collection of my favorite MG and Porsche books) . . . extra credit for the keen eyed person who can spot the "motorcycle related" book on this shelf. |

Well . . it's worse than I thought . . . . Mark comes rolling in, unloads his pickup and we find 9 more cases of "damn motorcycle stuff" . . . cases of unopened literature, patches, all the memos and correspondence from a couple development programs . . . and a bunch of material from photos shoots. This is the one that set off the Firestorm . . . . I kinda jumped the gun . . . by 5 or 6 months on introducing the Ulysses. The pic hadn't been up 5 minutes when my phone rang. Oooops. The only thing that ever happened that was worse . . . MUCH WORSE . . was when Jeremy Ricker "intro'd" the M2 Cyclone. I was in the middle of Iowa and got a called from Buell Distribution Company . . . "don't even go to the factory . . come straight here to Milwaukee". Yep . . right up there with being turned in for "stealing" saddlebag parts to repair broken owners bikes. Definitely time for a gathering of The Elves . . to start sorting this stuff . . . |

Very awesome, I wish I could help sorting it out with you ! Thanks for confirming me that the Buell book is in German, for now I'm awaiting for the "25 years of Buell" that I have found, then we'll see from there !? If you ever think about selling some of the books and other stuff that you have, I would be interested... |

Actually… It could be an epic sorting or a great episode of hoarders. This is out of control. A friend offered to help me and we got a 22 foot U-Haul truck this morning to move stuff to the "new barn" We got the 22 foot truck because I didn't have the intermediate size is today. We were laughing thinking that we would be able to get everything including a couple motorcycles. We are headed up the New York State Thruway now… With no motorcycles and only got about 60% of the stuff and the truck is completely full. We started digging today and from the top of a cabinet in the garage sale all the unopened packages of posters that Harley Davison sent. There are at least 100 posters here… Possibly 200. I don't know how many hundreds of T-shirts. I've seriously thinking about getting a couple people to come over and just go through everything some weekend, and have a big barbecue, and have somebody log it all on a big XL spreadsheet. Alternatively… I get up the insurance on the farm and have a big bonfire. |

Wanna make an event of it Court? I do work with bands...have a trailer full of PA equipment...I'll even bring the big console so I have enough channels for "guest" musicians How close are the neighbors? Want the small 5000w rig for a barn/garage party? Or do we need the 20,000 watt county-fair rig? |

Good news . . . . no need to import live sound gear as my neighbors, I found by reading a local article, is a rock star from the Woodstock era and apparently he has a James Taylor sort of barn recording studio. The story I read was actually about the next neighbor down the road and an annual party he has. He invites all the neighbors and one year looked up to see this guy . . was a bit surprised and wondered where the heck he'd come from. Turns out he was quietly (there are a number of well known artists and writers "hiding" here) living next door. In speaking to the next door neighbor there have been some instances of the sound being a bit of a problem When I moved in . . . the first thing delivered was a JBL live sound system from Sweetwater. Quoting my son in Portland . . ."you now have the neighbor surrounded". But . . back on topic . . .it would be a huge help to have 5 or 6 folks, who knew their Buell stuff, to help sort this crap. The stack of posters, all in the same place for the first time yesterday, is the better part of a foot tall. I'm hoping o find a way to hang 50 or 60 in the barn. C'moon warm weather ! |

Well I know 3-4 Buell enthusiasts that will ride 200 miles for good BBQ, I'd imagine they'd ride even further just to look at,never mind sorting, cool Buell memorabilia. Should I pick up some Hoo Doo Browns on the way? |

Happy to Waze my way from Maryland...just say the word Cool news on the neighbors. Sorta like when I moved in and the next door neighbor pulled an old BSA out of the basement that he'd just rebuilt. Ahhh....HOME. They come and clap when I do burnouts up my driveway. My old station wagon is a hit; my new-to-me turbo minivan is also growing a bit of a reputation |

Hi Jim, Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well. I got rid of the Ducati. Was a beautiful bike, but I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for clip ons. Got a really sweet ride now, a slightly modified Triumph Street Triple R. Does everything Lil' Blackie did only better, faster and a helluva lot more reliably.

Those are nice, I had a chance to let one rip around NJMP. I let someone take my F4i and he let me ride the speed triple. It was funny passing my bike around the outside of a corner with the triple. The owner said be never felt as awkward on the track as when his bike blew by him around the outside of a corner and was gone. LOL |
