Damn, that bike looks a lot like mine! \<sarc> I might trade you something if you got anything I could use to trade. M2 parts or accessories that is. Front stand, tachometer, spares, etc. . FYI, I have left my broken heatshield on as it's much easier to service. No need to remove the rear fairing to remove the heatshield. For a minute I thought My bike had a doppelganger. Then I looked at your profile and see that you are in Houston!!! Then I thought you stole my M2, LOL. Then I noticed my ladder. Check the I10 Houston section of StormFronts once in awhile. I'll try to get us Houston Buellers together again even though it seldom works out. |

I thought I would check here before springing for a new one. And sorry for stealing your pick Jim, it was the best example that I found on Google. I've checked storm fronts a time or two, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity. And I don't have much to trade, except a d&d full exhaust, and I think I would be getting the short end of the stick there... Need any Kawasaki kz parts? |

BTW Jim, I'm in Deer Park and frequently ride down your area. If I want to get away for an hour or two it seems like South East is my best option for to open it up and not hit too much traffic. Usually head south on Red Bluff, 146, or HWY 3. If you know of any good riding roads in the area, let me know. |

I may have a pair in the garage. Or are you looking only for the right side? |

I didn't know there was one for the left. My bike was stripped of lots of the plastics when I bought it. Can you post pics? |

I'm gonna have to hang on to my spare. I forgot that the attachment point to the front started to break also. I put two large washers on each side to act as a clamp to kept the bolt from pulling through the crumbling plastic. Well have to get together and ride. No roads that are any better here I'm sure. My favorite is the back road to Angleton. Still no curves to be had. Is the full d&d off the bike now? Too load to use or just a spare? |

I pulled off the d&d full system because it was too loud. The stock system I installed seems too quiet. I didnt want to sell the d&d until I was happy with my current exhaust or I got a good trade. |

I did get a pair of heat shields- a pair of two rights. One has a bolt hole broken off just like the heat shield in your Googled picture. The other one has its hole still intact, but the edge has cracked off, as shown below:
So I'll give it to you if you email your address to h0gwash@yahoo.com note that the 0 in h0gwash is actually a zero. Maybe you can rebuild the edge with epoxy, maybe it's worth having a new one. |

Email sent. I have a plastic welder that I've been getting a lot of practice with lately. I think I can make it work. |
