I purchased this bike on the 10th. On the 12th, the buyer of our house (in Alabama) backed out of the contract. My 6 month pregnant wife and I are sharing a room with our toddler, which has been a strain. Now we face a 2nd child, and there simply is not room for her to come into our lives without the process driving us all apart. Epic bad timing, or maybe it just was not meant to be.... who knows? I am going to go through the garage and start paring down tools, and possibly a mac or matco box, so this bike may get withdrawn. I really don't want to sell her, especially now. I haven't even taken a nice trip on her yet. This bike is less penalizing than drawing from my 401k, so here it is. I purchased this bike with 760 miles on it. I performed a service as soon as I took possession of her, to include: Lubricate and inspect chain. Lubricate and inspect throttle cable. Inspect brake fluid reservoirs. Inspect clutch fluid reservoir. Inspect exhaust hardware. Overall exterior inspection. I started a excel spreadsheet for maintenance history, which I can turn over to the next owner. The bike is stock, save for a freshly (today!) installed set of 5-0 dro sliders. Looking for 9500.... Kind of hard to price this girl considering no one else is selling a used one anywhere that I can find... except the few for 12k plus on cycletrader, right next to the 10,499 bikes. I will trade down for something I can turn into a track bike. Or maybe something truly special, like a westwind... I need a few grand to give us a rental buffer for the next 6 months.... Tuned ecu will be here tomorrow. I will play with a few designs on the exhaust tips using std., and then finalize with 304 stainless. Mileage is at 1,316. | ||

ECU installed, temporary tips in place. Staggered straight cut pipes, 5 3/8 L on the top, 4 1/2 L on the bottom. Looks decent enough. I'm waiting on a response from a vendor on the premade stainless tips. | ||

Stainless pipes installed. Due to the thicker walls, the exhaust note is deeper. I'll be looking for a few thicknesses for the tips. Also, I have a few ideas in my head for tip designs. I'll be buying a chop saw tomorrow.  | ||

1620 miles, starter pulled and inspected. Luckily, this starter was not one of the o-ring faulty ones. I applied a thin coat of RTV to the top and bottom rings, and put her back together. | ||

Yes. A Dean Adams exhaust is en route with a PC5, will be installed Friday night. Going to take video of all 3 configurations, just because the exposure does not really exist. | ||
