Have a mint 1125r with 9000 km on it for sale in Ontario Canada. Was a US bike but transferred by a dealer to Canada. All recalls done; has a Barkers exhaust and ecm to match; fender eliminator and Aftermarket signals. Asking $4900 canadian for a quick sale. Also willing to talk trades on an xb12. If anyone from the states is interestEd don't forget our exchange rates right now would equal closer to 3000 USD. Just testing the waters... |

Joe- Not sure if you have the means but if you have a truck or a trailer it's only about 6-7 hours to the border crossing. The motorcycle is a US bike and was imported to Canada a few years ago. I don't think it will be too difficult as it originally came from the U.S. so it would meet all standards. Best I can tell is, it's just a few forms prior to importing along with a bill of sale and a duty charge of around 2.4 percent... Haven't done it myself so if anyone has better knowledge chime in please! |

Thanks for the feedback. From what I'm reading, if the bike has an FMVSS sticker AND the EPA compliance sticker, that should satisfy the bureaucrats; the stock exhaust with EPA certification is also a likely requirement. It goes without saying that ownership paperwork is also required. The one part that seems a little fuzzy has to do with titling, registration, and insurance; some of what I've read implies the vehicle must have those 3 items prior to importation. Now I have to decide if I want to do a two day trip; I'm not of an age these days to do 16-18 hour car trips. |
