A friend of a friend bought an S1W and needs a seat. That's all the info I know. Not sure if a standard S1 seat would be acceptable or if it must be an S1W seat. So, let me know what you got, what you're looking to get and - ideally - pics and I'll pass along the info. Thanks! 1313 |

Solo! I believe... It's the only way to go! I'm amazed that nobody has just suggested to covering a couple of properly shaped 2x4's... 1313 |

The stock S1W solo seat was the "euro" seat - slight kick up at the rear, no grab strap. Yes, the factory S1 solo had a grab strap. Why? No idea. If he wants a solo Corbin, black with yellow piping, let me know... |

Hi All, I have been corrected. Nothing but an actual S1W seat will do. Ain't it great when customer requirements are defined downstream? 1313 |

Ratbuell.....I'm interested in that Corbin if you need to free up some shelf space. Me no likey my stock S1 seat. I shot you a PM, but never heard back. You are close enough that I could even ride down to get it some weekend if you didn't want to deal with shipping it. |

good to see you getting something done at work Chris! Can anybody confirm that all S1W's had the euro seat?, I thought they had the same seat with a strap as S1s... HUH looking at google pictures that seems to be the case. (Message edited by tod662 on July 29, 2015) |

Can anybody confirm that all S1W's had the euro seat? Well, it can certainly be confirmed that not all did as some were built as twin tails. The few factory photos for S1W's I looked at this morning before work all showed the Euro seat. I suspect further research would show that the Euro seat was the proper seat for S1W's (with standard tails). But since the seats were interchangeable, I doubt anyone could confirm that all S1W's left the factory that way. Or - who knows - maybe this is all just some more "BUELLschitte"? 1313 |

If I could latch on to this thread too, I need a solo tail seat. Doesn't have to be pretty, basically just need the pan so I can have Baldwin seats do one for me. I had one but I attempted to go with a local knucklehead that ended up breaking the back 1/2 inch off. |

I'm riding on my Euro seat these days, once I get my twin tail conversion done I'd prolly let the Euro go, but not before then. Here's the seat I ran from 06-14.

Screamer I PMed you a while back about your seat. Not sure if you got it. I also need a S1 seat, but someone to let it go cheap as all I need is the pan for a seat build by Baldwin. Would prefer one that has not been recovered, but as long as the pan is not deformed and beaten to crap and the price is right. So whatever Brankin can't use please let me know what you have at dbc1_dc@yahoo.com Thanks |

It looks like things are working themselves out for the interested party getting his required OE S1W/Euro style seat thanks to the fine folks on BadWeB. Thanks to everyone for their help! Appreciate everyone's patience, everything else in this thread is fair game. Thanks again! 1313 |

David, I have an S1W seat that I've had for years that's not doing anything. There was a Saddlemen seat kit that Tat used to sell years ago that consisted of a foam and covering kit that I installed on a stock seat pan years ago. This is the seat that I installed it on. It's definitely a bit puffier than the stock S1W seat. Doesn't look quite as nice but it's a bit softer on the butt.
This isn't an American Sport Bike product, it's from my own personal stash. $50 . PM me if you want it. Al |
