Thinking of selling my clean 98 S1W white lightning. Has 14700 miles on it. Been cleaned up down to the frame, parts updated, replaced etc. Have complete parts list and performance upgrade list for those that are serious. Awesome bike and runs flawlessly. Just don't have time to ride all my bikes and been thinking of trimming down. Iam not going to give it away and not going to sell to someone that doesn't appreciate it for what it is and going to cut it up into something it isn't supposed to be. If your serious we can talk specifics etc.

I sent you a p.m. but they dont always go through...just wanted you to keep this in mind, thanks, dan |

Here is a list of things done to the bike. New Michelin pilot power tires (couple hundred miles on them), XB rocker box conversion with billet catch can, Drummer exhaust with ceramic coated 2.5" header, New Mikuni flatslide carb, Thunderstorm heads with street porting done by Lee's Speed shop in Minnesota, Comp cam springs, Andrews N8 cams, Dyna tek ignition, forcewinder intake, NOS stock headlight, NOS front forks, frame brace, new upgraded front rotor with new pads, new stock rear rotor with new pads, carbon fiber rear fender, lower belt guard, front pulley cover, and heat shield strap, chrome rear pulley cover, and buell black frame plugs. Iam sure I forgot something as well. (Message edited by jefc73 on August 16, 2015) |

The original headlight was beat up a little so replaced new. The forks were bought because a mechanic friend screwed up the bottom of one of the original forks when the gold valving was going in. Couldn't get the screw out on the bottom and tried to drill out. When he was done it started leaking. So he bought one new fork and I bought the other. Have the originals as well. |

Please read the rules about posting a bike in the classified.... Please include the following points within the title of your Bike for Sale ad(s): Color Model Year Make Model Condition (on a scale of one to ten) Mileage Location (City, State/Province, Country (if not USA or Canada)) Price Example Ad Title... Black '97 Buell Cyclone, a 3/10 with 83,000 miles in Kilgore, TX for $9,000 |

I hope your sending that message to others?? I listed the model year, color is in picture, condition is in picture, mileage is in description, pics are recent. Bike is immaculate. Only thing I didn't list is price and that's negotiable on a realistic level. My location is in my profile. Live in Trenton Michigan. |

^^^ If you really intend to sell that bike here, you need to have a starting price point. Even if it's "high", at least then people will be able to make their own judgement on if they want to pursue. I've listed my S1W here a few times in the past. I've asked a price that I feel it would take for me to let it go. It was too rich for anybody to make me a reasonable offer. But at least they knew where I stood on expected compensation. So in conclusion...list a price or don't expect to sell |

And a point of reference*...I was asking $5500 firm (if is was for sale) (Message edited by lake_bueller on October 08, 2015) *is that better? (Message edited by lake_bueller on October 08, 2015) |

Thanks for your expertise Dennis. I have sold at least 15 motorcycles in my life plus roadracing motorcycles and parts. lol. If anyone is interested and the person knows anything about S1W's they will have a good idea what a clean one is worth. If I wanted something I sure would inquire and make an offer. If they don't then not really truly interested. Also I would never jack someones thread with my bike to sell. SMH. |

I have sent each one a private message. Iam not giving it away but I think the deal is a great one for one who knows and appreciates what this bike is all about and its exclusivity. |

hey lakebueller, you didn't list the following, all you listed was a price.....5500.00 (if anyone was interested) Color Model Year Make Model Condition (on a scale of one to ten) Mileage Location (City, State/Province, Country (if not USA or Canada)) does the glove in the photo come with the bike if purchased? sorry.....this brought out my ornery side! Jeff, good luck with the sale, I think one day you will miss that bike and wish you could buy it back...but if it must go, hope it goes to a good home! |
