So there are no misunderstandings: I think this belt is ready to fail, and I won't even keep it as a spare. I replaced it the other day when I noticed a significant, abrupt reduction in tension. Before I throw this belt out, I thought I'd offer it to anyone who wants it, shipped from (or within) Canada at their cost. This belt would be good for anyone who likes living on the edge, or enjoys changing belts on the roadside. Maybe it would be good to conduct some sort of experiment on. Or use it to create some art. It might make a unique "git-back" whip. This belt was in service for one year and about 10,000km (6000mi). It has a groove on the outside of it from a rock caught in the belt guard. There is one crack between the teeth that spans the width of the belt. There are several smaller ones that do not. (Message edited by dtaylor on July 06, 2015) |
