Looking for a working Gerbings Dual Controller so that I can have both my heated socks "and" my heated gloves working simultaneously. I know a new one is only $99 but I'm broke right now |

Build a Y pigtail. I've run a jacket and gloves off the same circuit; socks and gloves won't even be working the circuit hard. |

Is that true ? I will pocket the money (that I don't have for heat) and build one tomorrow. I would hate to cut up wires if it won't work, are you sure ? |

He is correct, it will work, controller does the same thing except gives you adjustable knobs to dial it back. Also, I need to find it, I have one that I am not using, I'll get it to you. The catch is, the main connector got fraked so you will need to cut it off and put a new one on. Long story short, it became disconnected and it hung low enough to get wedged between the belt and something. |

Wasss-uuup FROGGY !? I have a controller (one of the ones you permanently mount(in your airbox) and the required hardware so that's not a problem, but if you have a dead one with good ends I'll take it. I hate cutting up good stuff when I can salvage junk instead. That's why my garage is full of junk. I would like to swap over to the self contained controller one day as I had two of the permanent ones and am down to one, they're not nearly as hardy as I think they should be. |

I used this for a while with my Gerbing jacket liner and gloves, worked great, probably still works with the damaged connector, I just don't want to die assuming the fuse didn't do its job. My plan was to cut the connector and get a new one spliced on, but I never got around to it. I know you are handy with that kind of thing so I'll leave it up to you. I'll find some kind of excuse to get to Jersey this weekend and will drop it off. |

Yo Froggy, I have a connector that I can put on there for you. I don't need it as I hear I can use one controller for gloves and socks. I won't be around this weekend unless you are going to the RV show in Edison NJ. I'm doing that tomorrow AM and will be out of state all weekend following the show. |

I can definitely fix that for you. We'll hook up during the week one day. I think there was something else I needed to see you for...any idea what it was ? |

Just saw the thread - yes, it will work, Dual controllers still only have a single connection to the bike/battery, you won't overload anything. My gerbings jacket liner is actually wired so I can, inside the left hip area, plug the glove input wire into an output wire from the jacket circuit, for single-channel control of the jacket and gloves. |
