I have a Motion Pro helmet lock for sale. It's black and clamps down on a 7/8" tube.It would work great on handlebars.I have one on my S2T and thought I was ordering the same thing but the frame tubes take a larger diameter.I paid $32 shipped,I'd like $20 shipped.

Put the wide lids on and you can put your helmet in the saddlebags . That's what I do, and mine is an XL! I have to turn it sideways though because it only fits in one way. Nice when the wife and I are out on the bike though so we can lock up the helmets when we park. |

Ross,I like to run the narrow lids when I'm not on the road.I've had this type of helmet lock on all four of my S2's.It's just the way I roll. |

So it fits S2 frame tubes , or not? |

To each their own; at least you're riding! John, unfortunately this will not fit S2 handlebars as they are 1" diameter (same as HD, hence the HD controls). The S2 frame tubes are bigger even than that, 1 1/4" IIRC. This is a 7/8" perch that fits all other Buells post-'95 (pre-'95 Buells also had 1" handlebars and HD controls). |

Thanks for the explaining things Ross.I was hoping maybe somebody has another bike with smaller diameter frame tubes or can mount it on their 7/8" handlebars. (Message edited by buellish on December 19, 2014) |

Would this mount under the tail section on an S1 or only bars? |

It would attach to any 7/8" tube,it clamps on the tube. |

I have one on my S1 under the tail section, I did have to put a shim under the clamp though to make up the diameter difference, it works great and is very inconspicuous. |
