Jeeuz Chryst! I am trying to figure out if the bike comes with it at that price. I haven't noted that having the Signature Documents intact (even without a "tare" on the page) has really impacted the value of any S2, but if he can find someone to bite more power to him. Neither Rhonda nor Gloria have their docs, but since that set doesn't have the right numbers on them, I will just have to pass on this set. Then again, after looking at the ad again I realized why this one is "One of a Kind!!!1!" and not "One of 1399"... It is for the very rare S2 "Lighnting". Both of my S2s are mere Thunderbolts. I don't think I have ever even seen the "S2 Lightning". (Message edited by LYNRD on November 06, 2014) |

Here's another exceptional ebay value that could be used to install that extremely rare, authentically signed, timing plate....... http://www.ebay.com/itm/121480006326?_trksid=p2060 778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT |

Be mindful that stuff like this finds a buyer each and every day . . . . You wouldn't buy it. I wouldn't buy it. But . . . that leave 17,000,000 eBay users and . . . if your looking for a "1 in a million" chance . . what the hell. I've had things go for stupid prices and I've paid stupid prices (I paid something like $250 for one of the Signature Series sets I have) and I've seen stuff . . like the carbon fiber wind screen I am shipping in 5 minutes . . sell for a really good deal. Ya never know . . . Court (who bought my "new" . . less than 1,000 miles . . KLR for something like $2,500) |

Agreed that the value of anything is ultimately defined by what someone is willing to pay for it. If that cover was #145 or #202....well, I STILL wouldn't pay that much for it, but at least I would think about it for a bit. I might go several hundred bucks for the correct one for Rhonda, just because. My opinion is that the seller is going to own that one for a while. |
