Woman pulled out in front of me last Tuesday, then stopped in front of me. I hit her front end at about 30 mph, and went over the hood and down the road without the bike. With the array of pins and plates in my leg now, my riding days are done. I have some spare parts that the PO sent w/the bike that I'm selling now, and will likely part the bike out once it's all settled. It still runs, but I think the frame is tweaked at the front (surprised if it's not). So, selling spares now, and gauging interest in the other parts to see if it's worth fighting the insurance company to keep it. Rear sprocket, good shape, $45 shipped CONUS. White tank decals, $40 shipped CONUS for pair. P/N is M0730WH/GR.8 Service manual and parts catalog for 97 S3, $50 shipped for both Stock ignition module, $30 shipped (no further info on whether it works, etc.; has Screaming Eagle module on it now) Shoot me an email and I can send pictures. 1313, thanks for the kind thoughts. I got your PM on my phone (but not PC because of spam filters I guess). The insurance adjuster is supposed to be coming today to discuss the bike, etc. I'll let you know the outcome and what's available hopefully later today. | ||

Rich, that sucks! I hope you heal quick, do the rehab, it hurts, ask others on here. But it's the way back. I'd be interested in the complete bike if the insurance co will let you buy it back. PM me when you can, Kevin Meath | ||

Thank you all again for the encouragement. It'll all work out, but will be a long road...6 weeks before I can put weight on it, est. 6 months before I'm back up to speed. D_adams, I have a spare left mirror right now that wasn't on the bike. No rash to speak of on the ones on the bike, but the right mirror has a screw through it to hold in place. I'll keep you posted on the status of the bike. If you want the left mirror I have, let me know. I'll need to doublecheck it to make sure it's in good shape. It came with the bike. K12, I'm a bit foggy. What do you mean "Decals pls?" You want pictures, you want the decals, etc.? You're going to have to use small words with me for a few weeks, lol. Kevin-PM sent. |
