Backing plate is later style with welded support to prevent cracking. Used but washable 3" K&N included. S1 style carb mounting bracket (carb-to-head) included. Is this a forcewinder type of intake or is it the classic Harley oval? I gotta knee hitting problem on my round intake/filter on my S1 and am looking for something that's forcewinder-like.

It's an oval type of cleaner but the carb inlet is at the rear of the backing plate instead of the center, which moves the entire air cleaner forward to allow more leg room.
I'll try to get photos loaded tonight.

Thanks Frank for posting the photos!.
General U. - you can see that the air cleaner is forward of a conventional oval aircleaner mount location. the downward angle matches the angle of the ttop frame rail. The second photo shows the view looking at tthe aircleaner from the rear of the bike. Regardless of the cover style installed, the overall widtth is larger than a stock S2 assembly.
