Although individual measurements found on the online Dainese size chart are pretty representative of the sizing, the translation of the U.S. numerical size is totally off. This suit is an Italian size 40, which is nowhere close to a U.S. size 8 -- It's more likely between a U.S. size 0 and a very small 4. My measurements are definitely pushing maximum density for the bottom half of the suit, so if you are bigger in the hips or waist, it's unlikely you will be comfortable or even get into it (wriggling into the pants definitely takes effort at my size). The top is looser on me. If you are tinier than me, don't be dissuaded by some of my more curvy dimensions, because the suit is actually made for someone even more petite than me. Dainese only has one size smaller ('38') listed on their size chart for women's suits, and I don't think that's even available in the U.S., so a Dainese 40 is really as slender as you can get for the most part. Regarding length in the legs, there is quite a bit of unneeded overlap with my boots, so height is not necessarily a limiting factor either. Dainese Size Chart Measurements for Women's Size 40 (cm / inches) / My Measurements (inches) Height: 161.0 / 63.4 / 62 Length from base of neck to waist: 39.4 / 15.5 / 15 Sleeve length from shoulder with arms straight: 53.5 / 21.1 / 20 Crotch to ground: 75.5 / 29.7 / 29.25 Chest girth: 78.0 / 30.7 / 33 (under pits) Breast girth: 82.0 / 32.3 / 34B/C or 30F (bra size) Bicep girth: 25.8 / 10.2 / 10 Waist girth: 62.0 / 24.4 / 28 Hips girth: 88.0 / 34.6 / 35.5 Neck girth: 30.6 / 12.0 / 13 Calf: Not indicated / 14 MISC SUIT INFO: * 360 degree zipper goes all the way around for approved use at most tracks, and it makes toilet breaks easier than in a 1-piece. * The shiny spot seen through my hair in back is a part of the small reflective patch in the shape of a Dainese Demon. * Composite protectors/armor in shoulders, elbows/forearms, and knees/shins (exceptionally robust feeling). * Aluminum inserts on outside of shoulders. * One pair replaceable knee sliders included. * There is one inner breast pocket in the liner on the right side with a small Velcro closure. * There are what appear to be Kevlar/Aramid stretch panels in the crotch area, the backs of the knees and part of the calves, down the inner arm, and extending back a bit under the armpits. * Two zippers on each calf allow for greater adjustability and comfort, and depending on the style of your boots, also allow suit to be worn tucked inside boots or covering the outside of them. * Doesn't seem to be cut in a racer's tuck position, so walking around doesn't make you feel constricted / bent over, and it would probably be more comfortable for touring than a strictly racing cut suit as well. * Jacket has been treated with leather conditioner as a part of break-in. above stolen from the lady I bought it for my wife from. my ad: https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/mpo/4301361085.ht ml OBO |
