I posted this one before, when I wasn't quite ready to let go of it. It's ready to go now. I can't bare to see it sitting in a storage unit unused, knowing I'll probably never finish the project. So it needs to go to a good home where someone will finish what I have started and enjoy riding her. 1997 S1 Lightning. Bought new by me in 1998. Around 8600 miles on the bike. Rear passenger peg mounts cut off and ground smooth. X1 swing arm with all fender mounting tabs ground off. Frame, swingarm, and most small parts blasted and powered coated flat black. Buell Carbon Fiber tail section. Buell Carbon fiber heat guard. Buell Carbon Fiber front fender. Aftermarket Carbon Fiber windscreen. Two or three rear pulleys, one drilled full of holes. Looks really cool. Banke shifter and brake Buell Carbon Fiber race intake Some sort of carbon fiber exhaust that was made during the S1 production era. Loud enough to set off car alarms. Brand new Vance and Hines exhaust. Never mounted. Stock and Buell race seat The pictured red gas tank. (Black one not included.) Lots of little extra bits and pieces. Bike is not running at this time. Here is what I believe it still needs: All oil and fluids replaced. Primary chain adjusted Battery Finish electrical connections, especially to the rear tail light (weird LED module). Connect brakes. Maybe new pads. Can't guarantee the tires, but they are holding air. Needs grips. Install exhaust. So it has some great and rare CF pieces all in excellent condition and will make someone with a weekend of time and skill a bad ass stripped down twitch nasty S1. If you want it, you have to promise to finish it, and not part it out. $2000 picked up in Charleston. Cash is best but bank check or USPS money orders also work. Title is clear and in hand. You plan on heading West any anytime soon? I'm in Mississippi and it's awfully tempting but Charleston is a pretty long drive | ||
