Last sunday I bought my first S1. I had an X1 before but sold it 8 years ago. The wife gave me the green light to buy another, so I quickly snatched up a pristine 1998 Molten Orange S1. I am looking for a solo tail section and seat. I was informed by the previous owner that an S1W seat would not work with the smaller gas tank.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any of the S1 seats will work as long you have the correct seat for the correct tail section, I assume you got the bike with the twin tail?

Yes, that is correct. Are there different solo tail sections?

Just the plastic factory unit and the factory carbon fiber one, or copies there of, they both take the same seat, unless you are talking about an aftermarket/different style tail such as Airtech.
