Hey guys i just came into a few BRAND NEW STILL SEALED SUPERTRAPP MUFFLERS FOR TUBE FRAME BUELLS I HAVE 3 IN TOTAL FITMENT IS AS FOLLOWED AND I WANT $320 A PIECE FOR THEM . THERE THE CHEAPEST AROUND . AND THERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE IM OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS 97 S1 AND M2 MUFFLER S2 MUFFLER 1995-96 99-01 X1 AND S3 ONE |

Got mine today. The front hangar looks slightly different than the one on my bike, but the inlet is right diameter, and it looks light it will bolt right up. Thanks. |

If any of these are the old style round (not conical) ones that had a separate J pipe, I VERY HIGHLY recommend that before you mount it up, you get a good stainless welder to run a bead completely around the stub pipe coming out of the front of the can. The front cap on that muffler is cold form stamped, and the stub pipe is welded in at the back end of that cap. These will almost always fail like this:
if it isn't welded. But if you weld it from the gitgo, it won't fail. That particular failure is why ST redesigned it with the integral J pipe. Al |

As long as they are both 2 1/2" headers and they are not race headers they are the same. |

THAT'S why the new one looked different when I opened the box. Thanks for the advance tech info Al. I'll definitely do that before it goes on. Now if you could only divine how many discs are the magic number for a race ECM and CF race intake....... |
