I'm not going to go balls to the walls with my S1. I snapped an exhaust stud and rather than fixing it. I'm gonna used it as an excuse to upgrade the heads. |

You do know that if you change heads, you have to change pistons too...right? |

I did NOT know that. I thought it was a straight swap, but HAD to change the pistons with the XB swap. OK, please disregard this post until further notice. I'm going to drill out the stud. If it goes awry, then my justification comes back into play. Have enough to play with for the moment with the darn swingarm. Thank you Rat for the information. Brian |

actually with XB heads you DO NOT need to change the pistons but you would need a new billet front motor mount. With thunderstorms you need to change the pistons but not the mount. |

You can mill the Thunderstorm heads and use with (stock Lightning) flat-top pistons. Depending on how much you remove there may be additional components required. |
