Well...turns out my Defender project is growing in scope. I knew it had a broken front mount bolt. Thought the other bolt was OK...and it is...the bolt is fine, just the tab it screws into snapped off the head. I'm going to (eventually, when I get it torn down) take it to a local machine shop to see if they can weld it back together. Meantime, I thought I'd see if anyone here had a usable stock (they only built 12 Defenders so I'm keeping it original) front thunderstorm head they aren't doing anything with. I'm also on the hunt for a set of WP fork seals. Methinks this bike saw one or two too many wheelies in the past.... |
