Nascar Tom, You sure you want FI? With one exception, everyone I know with an FI Buell either plans to or has already hung a carb on it. The exception is an electronics wizzard who actually enjoys trouble-shooting his bike by the side of the road. Ah-hem, I'll have a carbed '98 S3 available shortly.... best, Lornce |

I bought the 99 specifically BECAUSE is has fuel injection. It works great, and I never have to worry about jetting it or cleaning the carbs or anything. Some guys just like to tinker. My FI has never had an issue. Anyway Tom, you're not interested in my S3 or Billet's S3T? Where are you located? |

...lornce, you might as well mark it as 3 exceptions, as my '01 S3 still has the injectors on it...have had less issues with the FI than with any carb'd bike i've owned to date. |

I loved my FI. I thought it easier to work on than the carb. |

We currently have a 99 X1 Extreme, an 01 X1 and an 02 White Lighting X1. My business is working with data acquisition and electronic fuel injection, so yep we want a FI S3. Both of the bikes are very nice, however, our budget for this project is $5500, and neither seller wanted to meet out budget. Thanks |

Isn't that funny Sank? I received 6 to 7 e-mails about my location and sending half the money. Then the guy said he wasn't one to dicker on price, but asked what my bottom dollar was. I told him the same as my price in the post above and he then said he'd pass on the offer. He should have said in the beginning that he had a budget. They need to realize how much people have in these bikes before they set a ridiculous budget like that. Still lovin' the S3T though anyway. |

Marks3Billet: I told you I did not dicker, when you did not come off of your price I and passed on your offer. I am not a they. I own three (3) Buells and will continue to do so despite rude people. Have a good day! |

Sank: You did not receive an offer due to the mileage (> 11K) on your bike. Have a good day! |

Need a pristine stock header for an X1 (Blue or unfinished). I may be dreaming, but, unused would be great. Have blue header with some damage from it beating itself against the frame, need to replace it. E-mail me at ironken2001@yahoo.com. Thanx, Ken |

Ironken... last year I saw what looked to be a ceramic coated X1 header hanging on the wall at F&S Buell in Dayton, might want to call them (1-800-783-2222) and see if they want to deal. They are decent people to deal with. If you are going to pay retail and just order a stock one, buy it from a sponsor instead. |

Nascar_Tom, You still looking for a S3? I am trying to trade for one right now that I think I could sell you within your projected budget. It is a 2000 S3T with a little over 5500 miles on it. All stock except for a SuperTrapp pipe. Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com

Terry, $4500 gets you this bike. 110hp/104tq. It has had 15000 miles put on it since making it a 88 inch wheelie monster. The bike is sound and ready to ride. John

How about coming to Wisconsin? I am in the process of trading for a one owner 96 S1 with 30,000 miles. Looks like all the upgrades/recalls have been done. It needs new bushings in the front brake rotor and could use some tires which we will put on when we replace the belt(rock hole in it) All stock, upgraded exhaust hanger, swingarm, shock. It does have the ever popular bubbled tank emblems. It is red with PM wheels. Very nice unmolested bike. Interested? I might buy it myself! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |
