Gentlemen,

I purchased this very nice 99 X1 done up in carbon fiber from another member about 6 months ago. I have put about 3k miles on it and can attest that it has no running or handling issues. I purchased it from an owner with back issues that made any ride longer than an hour too painful for him, he purchased a Ulysses. I love the X1 but the mildly aggressive posture was also painful for me. I had shoulder surgery last month and it is apparent that I will never spend any real time in that saddle. I spent $400 on this bike since my purchase, on some road service and a new regulator and battery while in the middle of a 1500 mile weekend to the Smokey Mountains (Thank you H-D of Lexington KY, they were great). I am using a photo from the previous owner, but will post another this evening taken in my garage. The bike sounds super nice with the Daytona Boss exhaust.

The price is $3,000.00 and the bike is in Bloomington, Indiana

Hi, I joined the site so I could ask about this bike. I'm a member over on the xlforum under the same name.

I've been on the hunt for a tube frame Lightning for a while now and have been striking out.

Interested in talking to you about yours. My email is charles.m.hartman AT gmail.com

Hope I'm not walking around any forum rules by asking in this way. Thanks!

As promised, here are a couple shots taken in my very own driveway this weekend. The good is that she has about 16k miles and needs nothing. I put on a pair of new Dunlop Sportmax tires on about 1200 miles ago. Not sure what else to say other than the PO took very good care of her and if not for my left shoulder, I would never part with her. I can be reached at joseph.trippodo at navy.mil or here

Thanks for the sale. Put a few miles on her yesterday, and I couldn't be happier.
