I have a Scorpion Exo-1000 I got last year in a gray/silver color scheme that I'd like to be rid of. It doesn't fit very well (I wear a Medium HJC), pulls my earbuds out and seems a little heavier than my old, old HJC. $100. It's a high end helmet that has a lot of great features, which is why I bought it - internal flip down visor is great and I like not having to worry about extra sun glasses with this lid. The fog free shield is also great, my old HJC doesn't have this so the Scorpion only had cold weather use - keeping it from getting any kind of sweaty stank, it does have a nice soft removable/washable antimicrobial liner with pump up cheek pads too, for a perfect fit. Integral chin curtain with EMS warning label so they know to release the air bladder before they remove your lid in the event of a crash. Wind tunnel testing makes it nice and stable at speed. Decent ventilation but I haven't had much need for that due to its cold weather use. I'm a former MSF teacher and am pretty careful with my helmets; I only place them flat on the ground on the base (hence a few scratches), secured to my head or secured with a cable to the bike, or safely on a shelf in the garage - so they never get dropped... I always told my students not to trust a used helmet so I don't know that I should bother to try and sell it, but I'm putting this out there anyway. It's a large 7 3/8 - 7 1/2 (59-60cm). Got the supplied bag and accessories (couple screws and instructions) even have the original box. This helmets has probably not been on my head more than 20-25 times. I bought it on sale from Cycle Gear for $140. Again, I'd like $100 plus shipping. DOT and Snell 2005

Oh, hey, there's a couple extras in there, not much but it's something. Something for your car, or saddle bags or whatever. Did you ever find what you needed for your S3T bags? This is a plug for your parts wanted ad, by the way |

Helmet arrived and is just like new. Awesome! And the stickers are a wonderful touch as well; you must have read my mind because I was wondering where I might find some with the Pegasus logo. Thanks for a great transaction! No replies yet on the bag inner shell. I had several former Buell dealers do a computer search and they are unobtainium in anyone's parts inventory. However, I found a local business here in Seattle called Sik Werks (www.sikwerks.com) that specializes in motorcycle bodywork repair, including ABS. They do a lay-up repair using a special cloth which works well with ABS resin and will even finish the outside of the shell in a matt finish to make it look like new. Best of all, the bag is guaranteed never to fail at the repair site again. The bag is in for repair now and I hope to have it back in a week or so. |

Sweet, I'm glad you're pleased with it Bob! A little side note on those stickers, they gave me a stack of them at the factory in October of '09 when we went out to the one last ride event just prior to the factory closure. I've been trying to trickle them out to various folks here that I've sent or sold stuff to over the last few years. I was a little nervous when I saw that UPS left it on the step without a signature, guess I forgot to check a box when I shipped it out. Glad you've also found someone to get your hard bags nicely repaired. |
