i havea set of bar end mirrors here for 7/8 bars. they are aluminum and pretty nice. they are new and i tried to install them and couldnt get them to work for some reason in the end of my m2 bars. the wedge thing spins in the bars and it wont tighten. im sure theres a trick to it but i went another route before finding it. my stupidity is your gain. the mirror glass is perfect, your seeing a reflection in the picture... 25.00 shipped.

If the bars are the same as an XB they are to big for some bar ends there is a little adapter you can get from american sport bike that's what I did. |

maybe this will help someone, I just put the same exact mirrors on my X1 (ebay, about $20) and like mentioned, they wouldnt tighten inside the bars. Heres what to do: Spot weld the inner (small) expanding collet to the end pc that the bolt passes through. Then I used a hack saw to split the outer (big) collet length wise. (just extend one of the factory slits the rest of the way through, this will allow the collet to open up more easily). I still had to split a pc of rubber tubing to wrap around the collet to act as a spacer (thinking it will also act as an vibration isolater). Mine are still holding on! HAha jeff |
