For sale is my beloved 1997 S3T with 42,644 total miles on it (new top end has fewer than 20,000 miles on it). Bike was struck from the rear a year ago, low speed collision at stop light, bike was totaled out by insurance company no structural damage only damage was to saddle bags and mounting hardware, all tail plastic, broken brake lever and bent handle bar (still on bike, new set included). Bike was titled in CA (have clear title) but I have not put it back together to apply for salvaged title. I luckily had extra saddle bag parts and body plastic, had plastic custom painted and all parts needed to put bike together again plus many extra, but between work and a 4 year old do not have the time. Below are some of upgraded parts that are on the bike. As you can see from the picture the bike is in great shape, bike is located in San Diego, CA. Could part her out for a lot more but I want to sell everything together in hopes someone else will ride her again. If not will part her out after the new year 2012. Call if you are looking for a great bike that only gets rarer by the year. 619-818-7849 email for detailed pics. brosenak@gmail.com Brad -New handle bar set (not yet installed) -PM wheel set with Conti Attack tires (nearly new) -Carbon Fiber front fender, custom painted stock fender included. -2000 Nissan front brake system. -Penske adjustable rear shock with remote reservoir. -Billet oil cooler from American Sports Bike. -Scott Billet oil filter, reusable. -Banke shifter and brake levers (no longer available) -AIM Variable clutch. -2000 polished aluminum swing arm. -Billet Aluminum oil tank from American Sports Bike -Billet 61 tooth rear pulley. -Billet polished aluminum rear brake reservoir. -Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat with backrest, plus stock 1999 seat. -Cut down cam cover. -NRHS: http://www.nrhsperformance.com/index.shtml -XB stage 3 ported heads. -1250 Kit for XB Heads, with Axtell cylinders and Hurricane pistons. -Billet aluminum engine mount. -Billet Pushrod bases. -Borla Exhaust, plus Saintune ( has broken rear mounting bracket otherwise good) -Zippers HPCV40mm Keihin Carb with thunderjet, extra stock Keihin CV 40mm carb. -Pingle Fuel petcock. -Extra Front Fairing. -Full saddle Bag Set with mounting hardware, liner bags, and both wide and narrow covers, second damaged narrow bag and cover set with spare parts. -Race Tech Fork Springs #5451 - 95-98 S1, S1W, S2, pre-99 S3 -crossroads performance Front pulley cover -Jims Mega-Nut for front sprocket -Parts and Service Manuals included.

Nice bike Brad. Sorry to hear you need to sell. Can you tell me something. Every Penske shock I see installed on a tuber has the spring "rotated" away from the muffler and instead of being flat at the 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock position are more like at the 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock position. Is this simply to clear the muffler, whatever the make is? Also, could you go into some more detail? 1.) are you the original owner? 2.) is this your daily driver? 3.) is the CF from American Sport Bike? 4.) engine work, why and have you dyno tuned it?...race ecm? mapped to borla? 5.) was the race stripe factory original? And I see you have the coveted Pegasus derby cover (Message edited by two_seasons on November 28, 2011) |

Penske shock mounted that way to clear muffler. I am the second owner, purchased bike from my friend in 2004. Was my daily ride until accident last year. Did not purchase carbon fiber from American Sport Bike picked up on eBay. Engine work done because it was fun, have not dyno'ed. Race ECM not mapped as to Borla as bike has carb and not FI. Race stripe not factory all plastic replace and newly painted after accident. Bike has lots of extras like the Pegases cover, was my hobby before wife and kid, now I don't have the time. If you live near San Diego you are welcome to come and look at her. Cheers, Brad |

I live in Wisconsin. Used to live in SD. Thanks for the clarity. I keep forgetting about carb'ed/FI and when each happened. This year has been tough on us $ wise too. I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling this beautiful machine. Just a suggestion. Maybe get her out once in a while for a sanity run! Helps keep the seals fresh This is by far the hardest time of the year for me...Winter in Wisconsin and little if any riding. |

Nice bike. What cams are in it? NRHS Stage 3 XB heads and a 1250 kit I'm curious to know what cams and what type of compression ratio? |
