Alternator Rotor 30018-08 34-Tooth Sprocket Assembly and chain 40057-08
$150, shipped in the U.S. Buell XB9 XB12/XB1200 and Harley-Davidson XR1200 XR1200R
FITS: Harley-Davidson XR1200 (ALL), Buell XB1200 (ALL) and Buell XB9 (2008 and newer) Entire assembly including alternator rotor 8 screws and 34 tooth sprocket. Upgrade a Buell XB12 with lower gearing for more low end power. Replace stock gearing on Harley-Davidson XR1200 or Buell XB9. I replaced the lower gearing in my 2009 H-D XR1200 with the 38 tooth engine sprocket from the Buell XB1200 to give my XR1200 a little higher gearing.

Those considering modifying a Buell XB12 If this modification is being considered for a Buell XB1200, your RPM range will not be exactly the same because your rear wheel has a different gearing set than the XR1200. You can, however, use my Original and Upgraded data to get an idea of the kinds of RPM an XB1200 would have. Alternately, if you know the MPH at specific RPM for a Buell XB9, I would assume you get the same results for the XB12. I do not, but I can tell you where there are lots of them available: http://www.xr1200ownersgroup.com/ For the Harley-Davidson XR1200, a *very* popular mod is taking the 34-tooth sprocket off and replacing it with the 38-tooth sprocket. Getting an account is free (like here), then post on the forum's Classifieds section that JoeP told you to come there asking to buy one. I've got the highest post count there, so everyone knows me. |

Thanks Joe! I don't post here much, but have restarted working on my Ulysses and with the crank change, I now need an updated primary. May as well install the XB9 upgrade now. |
