I have a like new CR belt with less then 300 miles on the belt, used 76 tooth CR sprocket and custom aluminum over sized pulley to set the correct tension on the belt with bearing installed. I would like $350.00 shipped in the lower 48 states. The bike has more useable power for the street but I don't like the higher rpm on the highway with this gearing swap.

Belt is $182 retail plus shipping
Custom Pulley $220 shipped
Rear sprocket $140 retail plus shipping

Wouldn't the oversized front pulley negate the point of an oversized rear pulley??

No! Using the stock 1125R swing arm you need the over sized pulley due to the longer belt and to keep the tension correct for the belt.

I realize that, but the benefit of going to the CR gearing is the ratio is steaper. If the both pulleys are larger, then the ration is likely not changed or changed very little. So I'm curious, what is the benefit?

The front pulley is not a drive pulley it is a tension pulley to keep the belt tight.

OK - I'm Andy's friend that "needs" this. ; )

In truth - yes, I've wanted to gear my 1125R to the CR for quite some time. I prefer the gearing, but actually liked the front of the R better.

At any rate - I'm fairly sure I'd have to reprogram my ECM for this as well?

Xywh, I would agree that you would too. Or just deal with a speedo that is off. Or buy a cr race ecm from eebr

You can send back to Erik Buell Racing and reprogram it for $35. This is a copy of a email I got from Erik Buell Racing when I inquired about it.

It will have to be re-programmed if you want the speedo right. The cost is $35.

Send ECM along with instructions of what you want it programmed for, along with a check for $35 to:

Erik Buell Racing LLC

2799 Buell Drive, Unit C

East Troy, WI 53120

Attention: Recalibration

That cost includes shipping back as well.

Later
